Hi
i have an espresso machine (breville esp8xl cafe roma) and it when i turn the dial to espresso the water overflows from the side of the filter holder instead of passing through the filter. the holder doesnt click shut but it feels tight enough. i have checked the rubber ring and it seems ok.. do i need new parts (eg. rubber ring)? also where can i find parts, should i need them?
missing my coffee...
many thanks

We had that happen and it was a crack in the black ring that holds the filter. Breville could not supply us with one but we found an OEM part in aluminum from http://www.vancouverwireedm.com/caferomadiyt.htm. We received it 1 week after ordering. It was pretty easy to replace. Our machine works fine now.
Well can be three things.
the rubber ring.
The black holder were you put the handle in.
And the filter is blocked
Breville brew head seals are rather difficult to locate, but I personally stock them for ESP8XL & 800ESXL machines and sell them at a reasonable cost. I sell lots of new and used parts for various coffee machines, but specialize in Krups and some Breville. If interested inpurchasing a Breville brew head seal, contact me [email protected] and I'll make arrangements. I accept Paypal to make the transaction safe andsecure for us both.

I have a perished rubber ring. Does anyone know is you can buy them and replace it or do I have to go through a service centre and pay mega bucks to have a repair done?
THANX
I replaced the ring, but water continues to leak around the ring and in the center of the filter.
My ring was clearly shot, so I replaced the ring (you can get them from Breville), but perhaps I didn't seat it right. The coffee holder doesn't seem to seat tightly now and I still have water leaking around the ring.
