Upon turning on the projector, the green light comes on momentarily, but starts blinking red and begins its cool down mode automatically. The lamp never turns on. No other lights turn on (i.e. replace lamp light, warning light). However on one occasion I turned it on the Power light was Yellow and the Warning light was red. However the same problem was occurring at that time with no image being emitted. The lamp itself was purchased just over this winter so it is fairly new. I can't find help in the manual or anywhere else to solve this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

SOURCE: replace lamp warning light goes on after raplacing it with the new lamp

I had the same problem. There is an internal reset button just above the lamp that needs to be reset. You have to take the cover off, which would void your warrantee, but it's quite easy. My lamp only had 660 hrs, and I bought a new one too. So now I have an extra. My guess is that my filter was getting clogged causing an overheating situation and tripping this reset button which I'm guessing is a heat sensor.

Red power, blinking red temp

Hi,

if the Lamp error and Temperature error lights are flashing red this means that there are two separate errors.

  • A flashing lamp light means the lamp failed to ignite. It could be a lamp driver problem or lamp failure. Replace the lamp to resolve the issue. If the issue is not resolved, then service the projector.
  • A flashing Temperature light signals a fan error. Turn the projector off and allow it to cool down. If the light is still flashing after the projector is turned back on, service the projector.
Goodluck..

The "lamp" light keeps blinking red. Does this

The lamp life becomes 0%, when used
for approximately 4,000 hours with "Eco
Mode" or when used for approximately
2,000 hours with "Standard Mode" (see
page 43).
When the remaining lamp life becomes
5% or less, " " (yellow) will be displayed
on the screen. When the percentage becomes
0%, " " will change to " " (red),
the lamp will automatically turn off and
then the projector will automatically enter
the standby mode. At this time, the
lamp indicator will illuminate in red.
If you try to turn on the projector a fourth
time without replacing the lamp, the projector
will not turn on.
If you require the manual to help with changing the bulb, send me an email to [email protected] Put SHARP PG-B10S in the subject line. I will send it to you right away. Lawrence Brown

Dell 1209S Projector, tries to turn on, and the fan comes on for 30 seconds and then goes off again. It tries this several times and then the light bulb icon comes off and it doesn't do antything else

Lamp is burned out or makes a popping sound.
When the lamp reaches its end of life, it may burn out and may make a loud popping sound.
If this occurs, the projector does not turn back on. To replace the lamp, see on page 38.

Replaced bulb yesterday worked fine. Today light will not turn on. projector turns on both lights green for 10 seconds, then power goes red and status blinks green for about 5 seconds, then status light...

green green is power on, normal
then it tries to light the lamp, but it can't so the protection circuit comes activated.
you get red and green blinking

Then it goes to standby, red and off.

so something has happened to the lamp, or lamp ballast power supply.
Take the lamp out and check if all is OK with the 2 terminals in the connector, and the leads to the lamp are intact.

Failing that, I would suspect the ballast lamp power unit

I have a model PLC-XT11 and when I turn the power on the temp light and green ready light begin to flash. The red lamp light is on steady. I replace the lamp but no luck.

one or more of the fans may not be working right. also, the temp sensor may be shot. if the last time you used it it wasn't shut down properly, it may still be in cool-down mode.

EIKI XB23 PROJECTOR WON'T GO ON

Do you hear the fan start up? or does the projector lamp come on (you start to see an image)?

If yes to either:

When the temperature inside the projector reaches a
certain level, the projector will be automatically shut down
to protect the inside of the projector. The POWER indicator
is blinking while the projector is being cooled down. When
the projector has cooled down sufficiently (to its normal
operating temperature), it can be turned on again by
pressing the POWER ON-OFF button.

Note:
After the temperature inside the projector returns to normal, the
WARNING indicator still continues to blink. When the projector is
turned on again, the WARNING indicator stops blinking.

Then check the matters below:
– Did you provide appropriate space for the projector to be
ventilated? Check the installing condition to see if
ventilation slots are not blocked.
– Is the projector not installed near the ventilation duct of
air-conditioning equipment which may be hot? Install the
projector away from the ventilation duct of airconditioning
equipment.
– Are the air filters clean? Clean the air filters periodically. Let me know if you need to know how to do this.

If no to either:

When the projector detects an abnormal condition, it is
automatically shut down to protect the inside and the
WARNING indicator will be red. In this case, disconnect the
AC power cord and reconnect it, and then turn the projector
on once again for check. If the projector cannot be turned
on and the WARNING indicator emits a red light, disconnect
the AC power cord and contact the service station for check
and repair.

Please let me know if this helped solve the problem. If not, is there anything else you observed - whether or not you believe it's relevant.

My projector doesn't stay on. what's wrong?

either the lamp cannot strike (meaning a ballast or lamp issue) or there the fans are not up to speed to sufficientl;y cool down the lamp and therefore shut down to avoid damage.
