Lumix DMC-LX3 won´t turn off anymore (after pc connection)

I have a problem with my DMC-LX3: when attached to my PC i was only able to download a part of the images(?). then, when i disconnect the camera from the PC, the LCD display remains frozen, and i can´t turn the camera off or on. it is not reacting anymore. i don´t want to take out the battery, in case i damage the memory, but i can´t turn it off..? WHAT TO DO?

Sounds like you didn't use the "safely remove hardware" function before disconnecting. If it won't turn off by itself, you need to remove the card and then the battery. Press all the buttons and leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery and turn it on. This may work but you may have also have already corrupted the card and possibly the camera. While the card is out, you may want to try to download the pics using a separate card reader.

Getting a "no access" message on the back of my Panasonic MDC-LX3 cameramac. When I connect the cmera and the usb port I then click for pc and I get a message on the back of the camera that says no a

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

Hello, I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3, but never loaded the software and now the cd is missing. I start my photo class in the a.m.--any suggestions? Lynn

You can still upload all photos to your computer without the specific software - Using your USB cable, wait until your computer registers the camera as a new device and you get a pop up.

If not explore my computer and pick up the device manually
