You most likely kinked your controller cable and it's starting to **** out on you. Just to to TB's website and get a new one. They're only $4.95!

The turtle beach chat cable is oxegen free (it stops the copper wiring in inside from decaying) If you have a bit of the cable where the cables are exposed of if you have a knot or kink in the cable it lets oxegen into the cable and there it makes a fruzzing noice every so often. Also if you have a charge and play kit it can also make your mic fuzzy.

I can't hear people talk, but they hear me.

Check your mic settings

Had a similar issues where I couldn't always hear xbox live chat conversation. Sometimes it would work, other times it wouldn't.. not 100% sure why though.

Tried different xbox, different controller and different Turtle beach head sets with similar issues

Setting the mic output to speakers allowed me to hear what people were saying at the expence of not being able to easily control the chat volume with the analog volume control on the chat head set cable.

Hope this helps

When I talk, my friends complain of a high pitched buzzing. I'm using the Turtle Beach X11 via a wired controller on the Xbox 360.

Same issue here. Can hear the high pitch buzz, and friends complain about it.

I have 2 Turtle Beach X11 headsets, and 3 Xboxes (std, Elite, slim)

Unplug the mic, and no high pitch buzz. Plug it back in, and its back.

Tried all 3 boxes experience same issues

Playing with volume and mic settings doesn't make a difference.

Would love to have a fix for this :-)

I am having troubles with my Turtle Beachs X1s

You may have kinked your controller cable when you moved all your Xbox stuff. You might as well get a replacement controller cable--Turtle Beach sells them for only $4.95 on their website. I'd recommend the newer white one since that looks to be a lot thicker.

My brand new turtle beach x31 for xbox 360 is making really loud weird noises sometimes static sometimes just like ear pinching noises i dont even have mic cord plugged in its just if i turn it on, ive...

this happened to me, but with my x1's. the puck (the piece that goes ino the controller) needs to be replaced. if you contact turtle beach at their website, they will be able to tell you if you have warranty and can get a new piece mailed to you for free. thats what i did.

Mic wont work, i can hear friends but they cant hear me.

Can you try using the X1 mic on your PC? Green plug to green jack, pink plug to pink jack, USB plug to USB port. Talk into the X1 mic. Can you hear your voice? If yes, then you probably have a bad chat-controller cable. If no, then your X1 mic may not be working. If that's the problem, you should contact Turtle Beach tech support for help. [email protected].

Turtle beaches randomly stop working READ and HELP

This sounds like a broken talkback cable (puck). You can buy a replacement on the Turtle Beach site or contact their support about getting a replacement.

Turtle beaches make a crakle sound

If you unplug the chat-controller cable from both the headset and the controller, then play the game soundtrack through the headphones, do you still hear the high pitched noises, or do they go away?
If they go away, then a replacement chat-controller should fix the problem.
If the noises do not go away, then your best bet would be to tell Turtle Beach tech support about this --- [email protected].

Chat weird sound

Can you try your X1 on a PC? If the mic sounds weird on the PC as well as on XBL, then there's probably something wrong with the mic. But if the mic sounds good on your PC but not on XBL, then you probably need a new chat-controller cable, which should fix things right up.
