When I lock my key sedona 2005EX, with remote, dont hear the beep

If there is a communication problem, You run the risk of triggering an anti-theft function in the ECU resulting in disabling the ignition. Your best bet is to have the dealer program the fob

If the key turns but does not unlock the door then it is a linkage problem between the lock tumbler and door lock mechanism. If the key does not turn at all, then it will most likely be a problem with the mechanism. Sadly both of these will require removal of the door panel. If you dont feel comfortable with this then take to a reputable shop

get the battery replaced in remote

There is a way of running it by putting the spare key in the ignition and turning the ignition on but dont start the car, put the second key in the drivers lock and turn as if you are opening it until you hear 2 beeps, then press the unlock button on the remote while in the door.The car should beep once and flash the indicator lights.Remove the door key and remove the ignition key then lock the car using the remote.Open the car and try the ignition.Some systems lose the memory of the key chip so this may help you but with technology it works for some and not for others.

You have a sticky motor somewhere, they tend to unlock but only half way so the motor tries to lock and unlock again, all I can suggest is get some WD40 and spray all your locks including the bootlock and all the mechanisms dont be shy with the WD40 after you have done all the locks do the keyholes etc aswell and then lock and unlock the car with the key on all locks and then lock and unlock repeatedly with the remote locking button.

Depends how they installed the remote, there is normally an option to connect a wire to the horn and one to the parking lights, however it may be possible that they didn't attach those 2 or simply that remote module didn't have it, however most do.
This may be too simple, but mine only honks and flashes after pushing lock twice, it locks on the first push.

Press the blue button with the key on it. That is the remote start button.

Try replacing the batterys in the remote key

Try replacing the battery in the key. It may be too weak to engage lock.

I bought a remote the other day and got these instructions with it. They worked!

1. Make sure vehicle is in Park
2. Press Vehicle Information button (has the icon of a car and an 'i')until 'PRESS *check mark* TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY' displays.
3. Press set/reset button. The message 'REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE' will display.
4. Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the transmitter at the same time for about 15 seconds. A beep will sound indicating that the transmitter is matched.
5. To match additional transmitters at this time, repeat Step 3. Each vehicle can have a maximum of four transmitters matched to it.
6. To exit the program mode, you must cycle the key to LOCK.
