Take swabs and use alcohol to manually clean it...GENTLY and with not too much alcohol. You will go through several swabs. Use the foam swabs, not cotton, so you don't leave junk behind.

Brother dcp 195 printe umable 4f errer

On a DCP-165c the error code 4f refers to the printhead voltage. Repair order is as follows: carriage PCB first, head/carriage unit second and the main PCB last.

Printing a blank page

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

I have a brother DCP-165C and it is not printing black.

Hi,

The nozzle may be blocked. So take out the colour cartridge and place its nozzle in a bit of water for about 10 mins. Bring it out and dab the nozzle with folded paper. If the tissue is blotted with the three colour it means you have unblocked the nozzle. Try now to print after returning the colour cartridge. You may need to repeat to get good results.

Thank you!!

Black ink does not print installed new cartridge. Request assistance please

first try to clean the terminals where the cartridges come in contact with, try cleaning them with a cotton cloth with very slight pressure. Also you may try detecting the cartridge manually by inducing a manual cleaning operation, maybe the nozzles or jets are clogged,
Also you may try the cartridge to other same model printer for you to have idea to which the problem is.
Hope that clears your question.

No yellow color no test printing

take the cartridge out and look at the area that the sensor checks, and see if you see a lot of ink. it will be clear tube and you should see the ink, if it looks full, then your nozzles that go to the printhead either have air in it or the printhead is clogged up.

try doing up to 5 cleanings, and do a test print, check the nozzle test print everytime, if you do not see an improvement, then most likely the printhead will need to get replaced.
thanks adi
