I have a GE front loader and this problem drove me nuts after spending $$$$ and having this problem only after 2 years of operations! Please check the filter screen. Remove the screws that hold the front panel to the body. There will be water coming out, so have some towels and a pan to collect. Once the panel is removed, there is a knob for the filter screen which needs to be turned to remove. Have your pan ready because it will leak. You can clean the screen by hand removing the gunk (keep the money for your efforts, however :)) Replace the filter, turn to tighten, replace the front panel and screws and run the washer through a short cycle to check out everything and make certain there are no leaks before you walk away. Good Luck!

No problem just want to know if one can put clothes soaking in bucket into the machine and go straight to spin to get excess water out without going thru the whole washing process. Cheerz!

Hi - yes theres a few options start it on the final rinse and set your water level to low or auto sense then spin speed (this will add more water to stabilesde the spin cycle)

Could go direct to spin as well but you will need to adjust the clothing proper prior to starting of the cycle..

How much water do I use when using a front loader say 5 items of clothes with 3 large towels and two sweater

many front loader washing machines don't have different water level options since they cycle the water differently than the "tub-o-soap" upright washers. The best answer I can give, if there are different fill settings, is to put the laundry in the machine and see how full it looks. Err on the side of overfilling, since the towels will soak up a lot of the water, and unless the sweaters are delicate or inclined to stretch out badly, I'd opt for an extra spin cycle to get rid of the excess water soaked up by the towels and sweaters.

Washer not spinning properly

Hi, there may be excess water in the water reservoir. Empty the washer Turn it off at the mains, and unplug it, then put some old towels on the floor, tip the washer forward until the excess water comes out. Reconnect and try again.

When I put towels or rugs in the washer the cycle show complete, but when I open it the items are soaking wet.

Its probably because the items are too heavy for the washer to safely spin.

If you squeeze some of the water out of them into a sink then put it on spin cycle, it should work. Otherwise spin them in two loads. Its a bit of a pain but its to protect the washing machine mechanical parts.

Hope that helps!

Kenmore 80 Series Mod:110.23832100 top load that with heavy clothes (towells robes) won't drain and leaves excessive water after spin cycle. Everything appears to function otherwise, no odd noises. No...

Hi,
When you are putting the heavy clothes (towels robes) the sleeves of the towels will come out easily and get stuck in between the drain out valve so it will not sent the water out properly please avoid heavy clothes(towels robes) try to give a normal load

Clothes come out soaking wet

Is the Delicate or Hand Washables cycle selected?
Spin speeds can vary by the cycle that is selected. Your washer is designed so that in certain cycles, such asDelicate or Hand Washables cycles, the spin speeds are slower. In these cycles, more water is retained in the load at the end of the cycle to keep delicate fabrics from shrinking and wrinkling. Select the appropriate cycle based on the fabric being washed.
Was an Extra Low, Low or No Spin option selected?
Select the highest spin speed for the fabric being washed. If extra low spin or no spin was selected, the washer may not remove enough water from the load.
Were you washing one bulky item, such as a rug or large blanket?
Consider adding more items to help balance the load during spin. Select $FL-drainspin cycle and restart the washer. Your washer is designed to detect an unbalanced load and automatically lower the spin speed. Unbalanced conditions are more likely to occur with a single, bulky item.
Are excessive suds present?
Use only HE High Efficiency detergent. Using non-HE detergent or more than the manufacturer's recommended amount of detergent can cause excessive suds. The excess suds can cause the washer to run at a reduced spin speed, which will result in very wet loads.
See also: Why HE High Efficiency detergent is required.
Is the drain hose kinked or is the drain clogged?
Make sure the drain hose is not kinked. Straighten the hose for adequate water flow. Remove any blockage from the drainpipe or utility sink. Use the U-shaped drain hose form on the drain hose, and secure the drain hose. See the Installation Instructions for details; find them by entering your model number in the Manual and Literature search below.
Is the end of the drain hose more than 96" (244 cm) above the floor?
The drainpipe (standpipe) height requirements are: 96" (244 cm) maximum and 30" (76.2 cm) minimum. Your washer will not be able to adequately pump the water out of the washer if the drainpipe (standpipe) exceeds 96" (244 cm). In this case, the water may flow back into the washer. See the Installation Instructions for details; find them by entering your model number in the Manual and Literature search below.
Is your outlet voltage low?
Check electrical source or call an electrician.

Beach towels sopping wet after machine done spinning

The washer will not proceed into high speed spin with just two large beach towels in the basket. The washer is detecting a out of balance condition, and remains in low speed spin. Solution? Try adding more items into the basket. With only two towels, there is not enough mass to balance the washer. With more clothing or towels, there is more items for the machine to balance, and reach full speed spin.

The only other thing that could cause this, would be if the water in the tub is not completely draining in the time allowed. This washe does not have a cleanout, and checking for an obtruction in the pump is difficult. I would go with the more clothes first, then see.

When spinning the water is not going out when the cycle is done the clothes are soaked

Disconnect power
Check that the filter is not clogged,
open the bottom panel ( 3 screws on bottom front lip)
next open the large screw-on filter in center.
it will dump water. so have pans, towels, newspaper
Remove any debris and see that the pump impellers move freely.
Reassemble and try again. panel must be replaced as it has a safety switch.
