Question about Fujitsu Plasmavision P42VCA30EH 42 in. Television
Hi. I have a Fujitsu Plasmavision: Model pds4229e-b. I dont have the remote. When I press the power button on the bottom of the plasma the set powers up but emediately go into standby mode. Please advise how to get it turned on without the remote?
I had exactly the same problem with a Fujitsu General PDS4208E. After looking at the forums etc bit the bullet and tracked down an ORIGINAL remote. Paid yesterday, arrived today - batteries in...screen back on!! One proviso here: Before you pay big money for an original remote (and ONLY they will work with these 2nd generation plasma screens not universal remotes) make sure that your screen WAS working before it was in the standby mode. try http://www.portables.co.uk/ on +44 208 968 1444. Ask for Andy. He seemed to know what he was talking about. About £50 +VAT plus next day delivery charge. Alternatively borrow mine at £5 a button press!! ;-))

If your television is going into standby when you are manually pressing the power button, that means your television is in safe mode. Your remote will not help you in most instances when this happens. If you heard a pop of some sort that is not good, if there was no noise then unplug the TV for an hour or so to let it reset it self. If that does not fix it you need some service work done on it.

I tried the solution provided but it did **t solve the problem. I also called one of the Service Agents in my area but was told that Fujitsu Plasmavision is ** longer supported in my Country. I was told that my supply is faulty and need to replace it. Can anyone holp me with sourcing a new powersupply?
