Does it fill with water to the correct level? The water pressure switch lets the machine fill to a certain level and the stops the water coming in, then the control board should start the agitation.
This issue could be caused by a number of things. It is possible that the clothes are not properly balanced in the wash drum, causing them to wrap around the agitator. It could also be a problem with the agitator itself, or with the transmission.
Turn the machine off. Wait 2minutes close lid and start new cycle.
check to see if your drain hose is lower than the bowl....this will also cause the water to drain out
For saftey the lid lock and lid down switch must be activated before the machine can advance to the next cycle. This has been the sequence for all top loaders..
Check the switch for the lid it is likely defective.
wash but it will fill up to rinse and will spin
