Refer to the manual. If you do not have a manual, start at 4 and work your way through the numbers, bit by bit until you get good results.

The bobbin thread should pull the top thread slightly under and to the back.

Machine embroidery bobbin thread is heavier than the standard size machine embroidery top thread and this also helps to pull the top thread to the back.

Having a problem with bobbin thread showing through while trying to embroider on my pfaff 7570

Usually, slightly tightening the bobbin thread, and/or loosening the top thread solves this problem. Make sure there is no fluff in the bobbin area, clean and oil regularly. Experiment with these tension adjustments and make a note of what you did and what works.

I have inherited a 7570 with the embroidery unit and a range of cards. it works beautifully, but I would now like to expand to embroidering from the blank card. I managed to purchase the adapter form the...

Chances are your 7570 is so outdated that you won't be able to attach it to your computer even with the adapter unless you are able to and are willing to put an older operating system on the computer and make it a dual boot machine.

The sewing world isn't like the PC world... unfortunately. You'll need to purchase digitizing software at about $500 to $1500 depending on the brand to digitize your jpeg, size it etc.

What format does the Pfaff 7570 use for embroidery?

The format that is used by the 7570 and the 7560 is *.pcs or *.dst. Either one will work provided that the designs are within the confines of the hoop. The largest size design that would be embroidered by this machine would be 115 x 120 MM.

Loose stich on bottom of fabric

Hi. The problem is that your upper tension is too loose. It needs to be tighter in order to pull the bobbin thread up.

Needle timeing is out

The timing is set at the factory. If the threads are not hooking together, then perhaps try one of three things.

1. remove the thread, and run the machine at full speed for three minutes or more. This warms up the hardware, loosens gelled up oil, and get's all the parts in allignment.

2. (and 3.) Check the thread tentions. On the top thread, it will be a dial with numbers, over a spring and two plates that the thread runs through. On the bottom, it's a tiny screw on the side of the casing that the bobbin sits inside.

If the machine sews loose threads, then tighten these, a bit at at time, and if the machine jams up with a knot of thread at the needle, then loosen these. I believe that if the sewn threads are loose at the top, the bobbin tention neeeds tightening, and if the sewn threads on the bottom are loose, then the top tention dial needs tightening.

Cheers.

I have a Pfaff 7570 and I would like to adjust the thread tension. Most of the time when embroidering it is set at 1 or 0...and never higher than 3-4. Also I can't get the light bulb end out. it broke...

Lift top cover. remove top cover (flat springs on each end of cover - move one with your finger and top will come off. Lift handle. Look to right of handle end over the head. There is a screw there. LOOSEN screw and front cover will slide away from head. Bunch up a paper towel or napkin and press into broken bulb socket and turn same counter clockwise to get bulb socket out. Good Luck!

On my pfaff 1470 sewing machinethe tention is not holding and a small plastic ring came out when I blew the dust out

Good Morning,

Unfortunately, if a part came out, it will be necessary to take your machine to an authorized Pfaff technician for repair. Depending on where the small plastic ring was located, new parts may be required and an authorized Pfaff technician will have the easiest access to these.

Hope this helps narrow down what's wrong with your machine and allows you to get it up and running quickly.

Happy stitching,
Kim & Linnette
