Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ20 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Plugging in the USB connection between Panasonic Lumix FZ20 and Mac G4 results in immediate computer shutdown. Camera is on and in playback. Battery fully charged. OSX 10.4.11 is installed. Manual insists driver should show up on desktop using OSX after cord plugged in, with no additional software installation. None of the software on CD provided with the camera is OSX. No updated drivers (supposedly not needed) found.

How do I connect the Panasonic Lumix FZ20 Digital Camera to my PC

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use Windows Photo Gallery or any other photo cataloging program.

I have a panasonic Lumix dmc fz20....which I absolutely love....but I can not download picture from my camera to my computer from my sd carddo not have software lost cd during movehave new computer...can...

Hi,
I have the same camera but its lens zoom assembly is broken and now does 'nt work. However, I never needed any cd to down load from sd card to either Laptop or Tv. Lap top has the sd card slot failing which you could use an sd card adapter(can give it to you free if you are in delhi) with usb connector to connect to your computer which may help in downloading.Alternatively, a a usb cable connector from camera to computer should also do.All the [email protected] [email protected]

Single exposure, double download????

From your description, your problem may be using the same card in two different cameras. You will need to format the card in the Lumix to get it to work properly. This will erase the card so download any important pics first. Then, stop trading cards between cameras.
