I had the same problem with my TruTech TV after i recieved cable from Time Warner Cable. We aslo thought it was the cable but it was obviously the TV, so my boyfriend went to the options and went to change password and put 0000 or 1111 and it asked to pick a new one so he just put 0000 again as the new password then he went to V-Chip and it asked for the password and that takes you to parental control and then you just true it off and your offical back in business and youll be able to watch anything you want now

Some of the cable channels are locked . I was guessing it was because of parental controls. When I turn to the cable channels it says: "LOCKED CHANNEL". In a red box underneath, it reads "BLOCKED BY MPAA G OR R". I figured MPAA G or R refered to some type of television rating. I tried to unlock the channels, but could not find the parental control option on the MENU.
I have had my JVC T.V. for 4 years, and in the last year it has started blocking television shows with a PG rating or higher, saying it is the parental controls. We never set up parental controls...
Trutech TV...when we added Starz package to our Directv recievers, the Trutech put up a message "CHANNEL LOCKED..MPAA RATING PG-13 or(whatever)"...we had Directv reset the password thinking it was the reciever that was the problem but it's not. As stated already, apparently the TruTech has built in parental blocks..(gee, thanks, Trutech....)
