My sony nwz b133f is detected as mtp player but not as walkman . previusly it use to get displayed in removable devises as walkman as soon as i connect . i recently formatted my system and i am facing the problem please help me out

If your PC has windows XP sp2 or later and Windows Media Player 11, try to do these steps:
1. Connect the player to the computer. 2. From the computer, select start - Control Panel - Performance and Maintenance - System. "System Properties" is displayed. 3. Select Hardware tab, and open Device manager. 4. Open Universal Serial Bus controllers, and select USB Mass Storage Device or WALKMAN NWZ-XXXXX. 5. Select Action - Update Driver ... from the menu bar. "Welcome to the Hardware Update Wizard" is displayed. 6. A dialog on Windows Update connection will be displayed. Select No, not this time., followed by Next. 7. Select Install from a list or specific location [Advanced], followed by Next for the hardware install method. 8. Select Don't search. I will choose the driver to install., followed by Next for the search and install option. 9. Check Show compatible hardware, and then select MTP Device* in the model list, followed by Next. The device driver is installed. 10. "Completing the Hardware Update Wizard" message is displayed, and confirm "MTP Device" message. Click Finish.

I had the same problem but i solved it. Follow the folliwing steps.
1- Download firmware nwz-b133f (firmware nwz-b130 V-1.01)
2- Download firmware nwz-b103 (firmware nwz-b100 V-1.3)
3- First execute firmware nwz-b100 , connect your walkman when the programm asks: please connect device. Then the program ask format your device you will loose all the data , click accept.
4- Don´t disconnect your device , wait until format and dataload are finished. This is necesary because firmware nwz-b130 doesn´t do the format.
5- Disconnect your walkman and you will see it doesn´t start (logical it ain´t his firmware)
6- Now execute firmware nwz-b130 , connect your walkman when the programm asks: please connect device. Don´t disconnect your walkman wait until program ends.
7- When finished disconnect your walkman the save way.
8- Ready like new.

Yo tenia este problema y esta solucionada. Sigue los siguientes pasos.
1- Baja firmware nwz-b133f (firmware nwz-b130 v-1.01)
2- Baja firmware nwz-b103 (firmware nwz-b100 v-1.3)
3- Primero ejecutar firmware nwz-b100 , conecta tu walkman
cuando pida conectar por favor el dispositivo luego pida formatear
el dispositivo vas a perder toda la informacion has click en
aceptar.
4- No desconectas tu walkman espere hasta que formatea
todo y carga todas su datos , este era necesario para el puro
formato porque el firmware nwz-b130 no lo hace.
5- Desconectas tu walkman y vas a ver que no enciende (logico no
es su firmware)
6- Ahora ejecutar firmware nwz-b130 , conecta tu walkman cuando pida conectar por favor el dispositivo , no desconectas tu
walkman espere hasta que carga todas su datos.
7- Cuando termina desconecta tu walkman de manera segura.
8- Listo como nuevo.

I bought a new Sony NWZ-B133F/BCE Walkman. When I plugged it to the USB
the drivers got properly installed, but the player does not show as a
removable device or any other device in My Computer. just follow...be sure your player is connected to pc
go to my computer right click>>properties> IN HARDWARE TAB
select device manager>portable audio>right click select update
drivers>click next>tick the option let me choose driver for this
device>next choose usb mass storage driver from two options click
next....
