Ok no problem. first check the water under the sink to see if the valve is turned on. then check the water valve .you will need a ohms meter for this. turn off power, then take off toe panel to see the water valve depending on the unit, take off wires to the water valve and touch both sides of valve if its doesnt show a reading then the valve is bad you must replace.

My dishwasher did 3 beeps which meant drainage overload so I cleaned tray inside it now I get one beep every 3 seconds I can hear the water filling up but looks like the blades don't go round

Intervention of Anti-flooding system (The cycle is interrupted and the
drain pump switches on)
Could be:
  • Water leakage from the tub - sump and various connections (pump, upper spray arm duct etc.)
  • floating sensor blocked mechanically
  • microswitch faulty
  • fill solenoid blocked mechanically
  • circuitboard faulty (solenoid triac short-circuited)
  • wiring faulty.

Why won't the water stay in the basin of my dishwasher? Why does the water run out of my dishwasher as it is trying to fill? The fill valve opens, water runs into the washer and directly out of the dr

There are two ways water can get out of your dishwasher. 1, it the tub is cracked and the water leaks out. If that were happening then you'd probably already know since there would be a lot of water somewhere it shouldn't be. 2, if for some reason the drain pump is "stuck" in the on position and is running while the fill valve is open. You could check this by turning the water to your dishwasher OFF and then set it to run a load. When it attempts to start you should hear the valve open and nothing more. If you can hear the drain pump running then you've narrowed the problem this far. The next step would be confirm that all mechanical switches (and/or relays) are operating correctly. Finally, you may want to look up a schematic/wiring diagram for your model and see if it shows any mechanical switches that control the drain pump (like a "high water level" switch) that could be stuck closed. Hope some of this helps.

Haier dishwasher did not pump out

I had problem like this...one day the washer stopped, still half-full of water. Then, we tried to run again and we could hear the little engine working but it wouldn't let water in OR out, just error beaps.
Then my boyfriend took off the back and gently tapped the water inlet valve solenoid with his screwdriver, and now it works! Starting FILLING actually, not draining, but completed a full cycle finally!
Must have shaken loose a blockage in the mechanics in that solenoid, probably have to replace before long. But for now, success!
Here is a website that helps: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/Haier/dishwasher/model-Esd301-repair/categories/dishwasher-repair/symptom/dish004.html

Please help me fix my electrolux dishwasher, water is building up at the bottom and its not working

Wendy, sounds like the drain pump or the actuator for it has failed. If you hear the pump motor hum, but it does not empty the water, it may be jammed with some debris. To access all of the mechanical workings, you will need to remove the lower access/kick plate cover, on the bottom of the front of the dishwasher cabinet. You may want to empty most of the water out of the tub by hand, before you attempt to work on it. Also, check the circuit breaker for the dishwasher in your home's circuit breaker panel, to make sure it has tripped. If it has, reset it to see if the dishwasher will start running again. Just make sure it's in the drain water cycle.

I have a haier dishwasher but the water wont drain out of it. the power light remains on but turning the settings dial has no effect - looks like the pump may be blocked. how can i carry out a factory...

you maybe right but before doing machine reset button, you need to clean the machine be sure there's no jam in mechanical parts. also not all machine have reset button outside, some are hide and inside the power supply module so look for it and be careful.

Hi my Zanussi DI 720 dishwasher is not filling up with water i have checked the water supply which appears to be fine. Can anyone help.

hi

If a dishwasher runs but doesn't fill, either something is wrong with its water supply system or it is draining water too soon.

1) First make sure the water is turned on. Check the hot-water supply stop valve, normally located under the sink. Open it all the way by turning it counterclockwise. If there is no reason this would have been turned off since the last time the dishwasher worked, go on to the next step.

2) Turn off the power to the dishwasher.

3) When the dishwasher is cool, look for the float inside the dishwasher; this is usually a small plastic dome or cylinder mounted inside at the tub's base, near the front. When you move most types of floats up and down, you can hear them click because they trip a lever (they are spring-loaded).

Lift out the float mechanism, and clean around the float tube. Many floats must be disconnected from below; to do this you'll have to remove the lower access panel. Rinse off the float, replace it in the tube, and make sure it moves up and down freely.

4) If you're experienced with minor repair work, shut off the hot-water valve to the appliance. Locate the water intake valve, behind the dishwasher's bottom front panel; disassemble the valve to reveal the screen; clean debris from the screen; and reassemble. If the screen doesn't appear to be blocked, call a repairperson

Hope this helps

Dishwasher not cleaning/water sprayers not spraying it appears

I had the same thing recently. Everything appeared fine mechanically, but no water would spray. I inspected the bottom arm as closely as possible and actually found a half melted clear plastic straw inside of it. 30 minutes, tweezers and a small pick eventually got it out and all is fine.

The dishwasher in my kitchen doesn't seem to drain and it seems pump is not working

My motto is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it.", but in this case we will make an acception. Check the inside of the washer for a float device sitting on the bottom. Floats can get stuck or bent over, make sure it goes up and down freely

Hi,

Either it's not getting enough water to flip over to the next part of it's cycle (unlikely) or the water float gauge is not working properly.

When the dishwasher is cool, look for the float inside the dishwasher --usually a small plastic dome or cylinder mounted inside at the tub's base, near the front. When you move most types of floats up and down, you can hear them click because they trip a lever (they are spring loaded). Lift out the float mechanism and clean around the float tube; many floats must be disconnected from below--to do this you'll have to remove the lower access panel. Rinse off the float, then replace it in the tube and be sure it moves up and down freely.

If you're experienced with minor repair work shut off the hot water valve to the appliance. Locate the water intake valve, behind the dishwasher's bottom front panel, disassemble the valve to reveal the screen, clean debris from the screen, and reassemble. If the screen doesn't appear to be blocked, call a repairperson (they will probably need to replace the water intake valve).

If none of this helps, call a repair person. Any of several parts, including water inlet valve, pressure switch, and the timer or selector switch, may be faulty.
