Frigidaire Model ES200 White Electric Range. Cut on preheat. Heard loud explosive noise and flash of light which tripped breaker. Upon
resetting breaker range flashed F1 and locked oven door. Prior to resetting breaker visually
checked elements and could not find one open. Expected to see at least a split on one after
such a loud noise. Can you help?
F-1 USUALLY MEENS THE MAIN PCB OR CLOCK ***. I WOULD RECOMEND REMOVING THE POWER AND PULLING IT AWAY FROM THE WALL .TAKE THE BACK PANNEL OFF AND LOOK FOR A BURN MARK. THAT SHOULD SHOW WHAT BLEW.
GOOD LUCK!

I appreciate your inquiry, Stephanie Givan!
From what you are describing it sounds like a possible short with your breaker box or issue with your terminal block within your Frigidaire range. I would recommend reaching out to a professional technician for a proper diagnosis to be completed. The technician will have the correct tools to check for any electrical issues within the range to make sure the correct component is being replaced. This will help avoid any unnecessary part purchases. -Matt
Hello wills_amber - Typically, error code F1 indicates that the range has detected a runaway temperature issue (overheating). Try reprogramming the range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and if the error code does not clear, I would recommend contacting a professional to proceed further. Most likely the EOC (electronic oven control) on the range will need replacing.
Hello Seth Kwao - If you are referring to a gas range it is recommended to use a receptacle of 120v and a receptacle of 220v for an electric range.
