Toshiba Satellite L450 black screen on startup no fune sound
OK, you get the yellow light which I assume happens when you plug in the power cord even though you have not pressed the Power Button. So, when you pressed the Power Button, did you see any other lights flashing such as the disk drive light? Did you hear the Fan running and the Disk Drive running? Did you hear the DvD/CD drive click once or the light on the DvD/CD drive door flash? If you did see the aforementioned that means your system is trying to boot and might in fact completed the boot process but the Video is not displaying. If it seems like the computer is running by no video is displaying try shinning a flashlight on the screen to see if you can faintly see the icons or something on the screen. If so that means your LCD Inverter is probably bad and needs to be replaced. You could attach an external monitor to the laptop then press and hold the FN (Function Key) + the (F1 thru F12) key that corresponds to displaying on an external monitor. If the video shows on the external monitor then surely you have an issue with the Laptop's screen. If the laptop is not running and you hear no fans, no disk drive running and saw no lights then you probably have a motherboard issue.
