Hi there, I was given a black digital watch with the letters TCM on the back as a second hand gift. There is no model number other than 222908 written on the back. I don't have the instructions as they were lost. It's got a barometer, digital compass, stopwatch and 2 alarm function as well as a rotating bezel with compass points thereon. It has 4 buttons 2 on the left and 2 on the right side of the watch face. The lower button on the right is orange in colour. I am looking for instructions on how to set the digital compass as this would help in my daily work capacity. I know it's a long shot but any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I've had no joy on the internet.
Thanks, Bluenose2

Cmpass (COM)
The integrated compass tells you the direction (e.g.SSW for southsouthwest) as well as the number of degrees. To determine a direction, hold the watch horizontally with the 12 o'clock position pointing in thedirection you want to know.
General information about the compass
The compass always points to the magnetic north pole.Maps are always drawn in alignment with the geographic north pole (verticallyupwards at 90 ). The declination angle denotes the deviation between themagnetic north pole and the geographic north pole. This deviation depends onwhere you are located. To obtain exact results, the declination angle must beentered into the compass.Remember to change the angle when travelling abroad.Within the UKthere is no need to change the angle because deviations are only slight.Overleaf you will find a table showing the declination angles for a number ofcities around the world.A fault has occurred if the display shows"ERR" while taking a direction or calibrating the compass. Thecompass must be re-calibrated (refer to section after next) .

Calibrating the compass
The compass must be calibrated before using it for the
first time, after resetting it or changing the battery and whenever you travel
abroad. The compass is a highly sensitive instrument. When
taking a . bearing and calibrating the compass, keep away from magnetic and
electrical fields. Fields of this type will corrupt the reading. The best
results are generally obtained out of doors.
1.
Repeatedly press S3 until the display shows COMPo The watch changes to the
compass function.
2.
Press S4 for approx. four seconds until the display shows CAL.
3.
Hold the watch
horizontally and slowly rotate the watch twice about itself. Each rotation must
take at least 15 seconds .
4.
Press 54.The first digit on the display will
flash if calibration was successful. Continue at step 5. If the display shows
ERR, a problem was encountered during calibration. Check your surroundings for
potential sources of interference and, if necessary, move away from them.
Repeat steps 2 to 4.
5.
Refer to the table
to look up the declination angle for your location. Perform the following
settings one after the other: First digit of the degree number - Second digit
of the degree number - E!W (east or west)
6.
Press 51/52
to set the first digit and confirm
your entry by pressing 53. The
second digit flashes.
7.
Press 51/52
to set the second digit and confirm
your entry by pressing 53. The
direction E flashes.
8.
Press 51/52
to set the direction E or W.
9.
Press 54 to quit the setting mode. The display briefly shows END CAL
and then the current reading.
Pressing any
button during calibration will abort the function, and the compass will not
indicate any clear direction.

SmokeyK asked about setting the temp to celsius. To do this go into barometer mode then the stop key alternates between the two temp scales. Hold the stop key for a few seconds to change it.
TCM items are available through Tchibo so maybe you could ask how to obtain instruction manuals etc through one of their shops
Http://www.terracielomare.it/
Here are instructions for finding out your geographic specific declination angle.
If you dont know your latitude and longitude, go to Google Earth to find out.
Then go to
http://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/geomagmodels/Declination.jsp
and input your your latitude and longitude.
This will give you the correct declination angle for your location.

I have had the same problem. I was given a digital watch with TCM as the brand. Same buttons and controls as the previous watch owner. I can't find ANYTHING on the internet regarding a manual as to how to work this. As far as I have seen, it's made in Italy and evidently they don't use the web for much of anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have the same watch but can not get the temperature to be shown in celsius, can any one please help it's driving me insane?
