Connecting PC to the Philips HTS3455

I have had the Philips HTS3455 for at least 2 maybe 3 years. I have gotten every component to work except the AUX/DI to work. This week I connected my PC to my television (using VGA cables) and attempted to connect the audio out put of the PC to the HTS3455 using the RCA audio in jacks located on the back of the HTS3455 and selecting AUX with the remote control. No audio comes out. If I connect the audio from the PC to the mp3 in put on the front of the HTS3455, proper audio comes out, but there is also an annoying hum distorting the sound. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I'm hoping to get the AUX/DI to work or the mp3 to work without the hum. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hum first,,, anytime you have 2 devices with sound running to a cable or ant equipted TV you will get a hum as they are grounded off curcuit. HumEliminator (radio shack). You didn't tell us if your PC had been enabled in control panel for either device. I have had no luck using the rear aduio output on any computer. Front headphone jack on PC does not need enabled and will work better for this. Unless you use a USC codet interface which is better yet for CD quality in sound. Also make sure the Aux inout is enabled on TV as well. Direct Input would be the same. Lastly,,you are 100% positive the backside is input and not actually out put or gaming inputs.

Can you help with connecting a laptop VGA to a philips hdtv lcd (model #32pf7421d) with a component cable? The laptop recognizes that it is connected, but nothing comes up on the TV except for...

Check your laptop with the same VGA cord on some projector or a monitor. If it works there, then there is a problem with your TV's VGA switching circuit. If it does not work, then there is problem with either the VGA cord or laptop's VGA port. To rule out the possibility VGA cord , replace it with new one. Please give the feedback for this so that further diagnosis can be done, if you are comfortable with the TV's electronics.

My computer (3 years old) has gotten really slow. Both at start up, connecting with internet. I get a lot of buffering when watching streaming videos.

1) Download and install a programme called Ccleaner from Filehippo.com.
a) run the cleaner - gets a load of web rubbish off your pc you
didn't know you had.
b) From the menu on the left, select startup, delete all programmes out
of your startup menu except for antivirus and firewall programmes.

2) Disconnect all power, get a natural bristle paint brush and hoover
and, carefully, clean out all the dust and fluff from your pc. (over
heated cpu's step down in speed)

3) Add more ram if still necessary. go to the "Crucial" web site, enter
the details of you pc. Tells you what kind of ram and how much your
PC can run. Bear in mind XP can only use a maximum of 3Gb. You
don't have to buy from here, if you decide just use the info.

ABC diagnostic lights are green and D is yellow. Ram only works if slot 1 is used. If slot 1 and 3 are used Bios appears on the monitor with a flashing cursor. Dell dimension 8400

A,B,C green and D yellow is indicative of a component failure...in that the system cannot read a device it feels necessary to boot the machine such as a hard drive, floppy or cd/dvd drive. Power down the system, remove the power cord from the back, push the power button in for 10 seconds to bleed off the power. Remove and reseat all cables connecting the system devices. Remove all ram except for one stick and reboot. If you get boot, then try replacing the ram one stick at a time. If you still cannot boot though, try removing the cables from the devices and then plug in one a time until you get the machine to boot. If there is still a problem, the hard drive or its controller maybe the culprit.

How to connect dvp 3356 t0 samsung 29 inch tv with crt tube.

Please check the connection. If you are connecting the 3 RCA cables to DVD component input/output, you need another pair of RCA cables to connect to audio out (FL&FR rear of DVD player) and Audio in (L&R) in your TV set. Else connect 3 RCA cable in 1-Video out & 2 Audio out of DVD player and 1-Video in & 2 Audio-in of TV.

Connect to PC and use device manager to repair

If you have a Philips HDD Series, it will not work with Windows Vista or Windows Media Player 11 except for briefly, then the player will stop working one day. Your only hope is to use it with Windows XP and Windows Media Player 10 - it is, basically, an obsolete player at this point in time.

The Philips Device Manager has a strange feature - it only properly updates your device if you have the newest version of the Device Manager:
Download the newest version of the Philips Device Manager:
www.usasupport.philips.com - change your country/language as needed
Enter in your exact model #
Click on the link for your exact model #
Click on the Software & Drivers section
Click on "Firmware Upgrade Software"
Install the new Device Manager
Open and run the "Update" tab

Pc camera install

i think maybe uninstalling the software and removing the camera from its current usb port, then reinstalling and connecting to a different usb port may be the answer.
