There is a very small circuit element inside the wiimote called an "accelerometer" (it heats a small vacuumed area to sense yaw, pitch and roll with thermometers).
It sounds to me like you have a malfunctioning accelerometer, which could be replaced in theory-- that sounds like an exciting challenge to someone whose electrically inclined, such as myself. However, doing so would require finding the correct replacement online and substantial soldering skills to replace it.

When i point the controller to the screen, nothing happens, there is the game on the tv but no motion from the curser pointer, checked and installed new batteries etc buit still nothing, any ideas

Im not quite sure what isn't working. Please explain what controller.
IF it is a Wii remote:
Try resyncing it
Try adjusting the sensitvity setting in the System options
Make sure nothing is in the way or that there is not too much sunlight. This can itnterfere with the radio waves.
Make sure your sensor bar is plugged in
IF it is a Move controller
Try recalibrating it
Try resyncing it
Make sure there is not too much sunlight, this can also interfere
You might need a Playstation eye to get your Move controller working coorectly.

Thank you for your time, Good luck and I hope this helps

How do I sync the motion plus to the Wii remote?

There is no sync required. The motion plus connects directly to the Wii remote (where the nunchuck usually connects) and works through the Wii remote.

While playing any game on Wii Sport Resort: my 2 controllers seem to be synced ok, I re-synced several times. Both controllers work fine at menu levels. But after choosing a game, number 2 controller...

I had this problem and it was down to be, me plugging the motion plus into the wrong controller.
I have one control with intergrated motion plus and the other uses a plug on motion plus. I accidently plugged the plug on one into the already intergrated control leaving the one control with nothing. Hence that control could not be recognised.
Hope this helps

Wii remote stop working when I was playing Super Mario Galazy?

You may not be making the correct motion. It took me a couple of tries. The motion you use for this is to shake the Wii Remote like a can of spray paint or... kind of like a bottle of orange juice.

Having problems casting

To cast the line, you hold down the A button, make a casting motion with your arm, and let go of the A button near the top of your casting arc. Reeling in the line is as simple as moving the Nunchuk in a circular motion or pressing the A button. You can move the line either left, right, or back by moving the Wii Remote in the same direction and increase or decrease the drag on the line by pressing up or down on the D pad on the remote.

check out this little girl playing the game....you can see the motions she makes to cast: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozG-s2N2xmo
