Windows has a habit of muting the sound. Please click open the Volume icon from the right bottom corner of the screen. It is shaped like a big speaker. Unmute everything to get sound from the speakers.

I'm getting no sound on my emachines E19T6W computer

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it

click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll to sound video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to

reinstall drivers

click start control panel sounds and audio volume advanced speakers make sure you have selected the

(appropriate speakers) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have selected the correct speaker settings there

click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it

if his does not fix the problem

click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker

volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar for any

further volume control settings you will need to right click on the speaker volume icon system select adjust volume

click start control panel sounds and audio volume advanced speakers select the appropriate speakers

from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand system

speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check

the speaker plug/outlets is usually at the back of the computer or if its a laptop on the side

you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make

sure the connection is good with no dust as dust causes static electricity

clean your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is

no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit

dust causes static to build up in a computer

hope this helps

I just bought the eMachine ET1831-07. I plugged

Hi

Thank you for your query

The sound issue could be down to several issues

Please try the following

1) Ensure that the speakers are plugged into the right port the port at the back of the Pc will be a light green colour and on closer inspection will have this symbol >))

2) If it is in the right port click on the following Start>Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices. In here ensure that the volume is not muted

I believe 1 of these 2 should cure the problem

If this has been useful please leave positive feedback/vote/testimonial - Thank you again

Play something through the line are the speakers working, is ther eany humm or nasty roiugh humming bbbrp sound? Sound won't work without the earphones being plugged in

Make sure the speaker volume is turned up and also go into Control Panel, Sounds and make sure nothing is muted and all volumes are turned up. Also make sure the speakers are plugged into the sound jack in the back of the pc. The speakers also need power but since the light is on, it sounds like they are plugged in.

Can not get sound out of my speakers

Assuming that the sound is working in the computer and the SBS340 speakers are multi-media (with their own amplifier and power supply), plug the MINI stereo plug into the "green" jack (3 jacks in a row) on back of computer. Turn on the speaker switch and turn up volume about 1/3rd on the speaker. Then look for the electronic volume control (lower right corner next to the clock---will be a tiny speaker icon) , click on it and slide it up approx 1/8th to 1/4 the range. You will have to have some email or program that can supply some audio to see if it works. I have a MIDI file with gobs of numbers that I can call on.. If there is something wrong with the system, that's another story.

HP speakers not working with Dell computer

Your speakers are plugged into the wrong port? Most computers have at least a mic port and a speaker port, many also have front, rear, center, and subwoofer. Try playing a sound, then moving the connector to another port and trying again.

Are your new speakers plugged in? Is the volume on them turned up?

Emcahine Monitor sound is low

check the speak rail, the emachine speakers need a amplifier, there should have a power supply plug, that you need to plug it in.
if not, call up the place you brought the machine and ask them, where is the amplifier plug.

Emachine et11161-03 no sound from speakers

First check the speakers, plug them into a walkman/discman, and see if you any sound from them. If not then the speakers are bad. If you get sound, turn on a media/music player and check all the holes on the soundcard, maybe its plugged into the wrong one. If still no, check your Audio settings, make sure nothing is muted, and the volumes are all up. Check your sound/audio settings in the control panel, make sure everything is installed, and the drivers are working for your soundcard.

Motherboard sound and old speakers

what really matters is the quality of the usb speakers. check specifications such as wattage first and find reviews if possible. however usb speakers will probably not come close to separate speakers. i'd recommend buying a cheap sound card ($20 or so). these work great overall. $20 spent on a sound card will be a better trade off than $20 spent on speakers. just use your old speakers with the new sound card and you'll have plenty of power. after this i'd recommend headphones as they work great in this case. finally moving the sound card would probably work fine, but i have doubts.

hopefully that helped
