Question about Amana AFF2534FE Bottom Freezer French Door Refrigerator

1 Answer

I need a replacement part for my Amana refrigerator.

I need a replacement part. The Lid on the Pantry drawer on AMANA refrigerator model AFF2534FEW1 pulled out and damaged the right hand guide or "endcap" . In a parts list for AFF2534FEW2 (note the last digit has changed to 2) this is listed as illus No. 31 Part No. W10249492.

Where can I get this (in Van Nuys, CA?) and how much is it?

thanks, Joel

Amana bottom refrigerator bx20rw, how do i replace the defrost thermostat

This link will show an exploded view of the area. Part number 6 is the defrost thermostat. Cut and paste into your browser.

Basically you need to empty the freezer, remove the drawer and back panel, unclip the thermostat and replace, there are two wires and should be the same on the new one, use caution not to damage the evaporator coils.

Produce freezing

I had the same problem when one of my kids changed the setting of the chef's pantry (full-width drawer) to higher setting and everything started freezing. The setting should be at "lowest setting". Give it a try. deborah.
