Western Digital WD 1200VE; 120 GB (S/N: WXE307D19762) external hard drive unable to boot; Power is on but the hard drive is not running. I have too many of my official files already stored in it for the past two years. What shall I do to rectify the fault or how can I retrive these files?

I have a WD1600 passport USB hard drive. Problem is, when I plug it in my comp. It looks like it works, but the drive letter is changed, i have no data on it, and it tells me that it has ~1500MB
Like the other 150GB have disappeared... but when I use Wd diagnostics tool to see whats the prob. I can see the drive, but with no functionality. Can u tell me what to do?
My drive does appear in My Computer, but the files are not visable, nor are the folders. It does show that tere is data on the drive, but I cannot access it. Help! 10,000 ITUNES songs at risk!
My hard drive fell from the top of my stationary computer, about a 20" fall, and now when I insert the USB, It doesn't show up att all in "my computer". However, when I want to eject the hard drive, it's visibly, but I can't get to the files.
I can hear the hard drive working once it's plugged in, but like I said, It doesn't show.
I have some really important files on it, please help.
Best Regards
