Call Kenwood and tell them you have to disconnect the battery to fix your car now that the deck in the car you purchase used need a code. They might charge you a small fee though. Goodluck.

I BROUGHT A CAR WITH A KENWOOD DDX7015 THAT ASK FOR A PASSWORD

Password protection on kenwood is very good, you might need to pick up another head unit. Also after inputing the pass code you need to hold the fast forward or skip button to activate the code. I am verry familiar with that head unit and I dont know of any end arounds to bypass the security code. Get ahold of the origional owner and get their passcode or replace the headunit.

I bought a car with a kenwood kvt 715dvd the battery went dead an now its asking for a password but i dont kno it how would i reset my kenwood kvt 715dvd/cd player

Did you look online or do you have a owners manuel? There is usually a factory set password such as 1-2-3-4 etc, unless you purchased it second hand and the previous owner custom set - then you have to contact the previous owner or Kenwood. Most people dont change the factory passwords. TRY KCAR (5227 ON A KEYPAD) uf that doesnt work read the forum post on: ecoustic.com. Good Luck

Hi my name truong .we had DVD sytem and after we remove a battery the DVD sytem asking the passcode but we never put the passcodes before.we do not know how to do ?

Here are the steps of unlocking a DPX-8070MJ radio player: (1) Press and hold the 1 and then the 6 preset key. There are 6 preset keys or buttons on the face my radio on the left side. The radio will display a "C" just after the "CODE****" (2) You now need to enter the code "KCAR" using a Kenwood remote control (The remote control for my radio is RC-600J). Point your remote towards the radio (3) Press Numeric Key "1" until the letter 'K' is displayed (4) Press Numeric Key "2" until the letter 'C' is displayed (5) Press Numeric Key "3" until the letter 'A' is displayed (6) Press Numeric Key "4" until the letter 'R' is displayed (7) Press "Ent" button on your radio and YOUR RADIO WILL BE WORKING AGAIN
this solution was originally posted by "ecoglobal" so most credit should go to him. I used this to unlock a customers unit and it works perfectly. I saved this solution in my database for that reason as it was annoying trying to do it the way kenwood told me.
i hope this helped and please dont forget to rate.
cheers
