I have the lg env cell phone and it not charging
The reason the phone won't charge is because the internal power port pins are broken off of their solder joints to the main board inside the phone. Wiggling it helps at first because the pins can still touch their connection points but after a short time that will cease to help. Google "cell phone repair". It usually cost around $50 to get it fixed with a new power port installed. Turn-around is usually 2-3 days.
The enV charger is really weird.
it has a lot of problems.
I had the same issue so I went back to the cell phone store and discovered that all of the env's that were on display do the same thing. My Car charger wouldn't charge it at all and the wall charger only worked after wiggling it.
LG redesigned the car charger and did away with the 90 degree plug at the phone. This solved my car problem but I still have issues at home.
Once I saw that my LG vx9900 phone that I was charging was completly discharged while on the charger. I now wait as long as necessary to see the bar graph "charging" display on - and wiggle/reseat the charger at the outlet (the spring tension on the outlet I normally use is better than many others in the house). There seams to be something about the connection of the charger at the wall outlet.

My daughter is on her 3rd phone because of this very same problem. One of her friends which has the same phone is experiencing the same problem also.
Mine was charging slightly @ times but very limited unless I held it together @ a certain position or such.

LG enV2, problem with charger. Am on second phone already! Problem is at the phone end of charger, both charger and phone were bad. Verizon tech said I (my son, actually) ruined phone by using bad charger on phone.
BUT, how do you know charger is bad unless you actually use it? Plus, they wouldn't warranty it because there were scratches (quite a few I have to admit, but none near the charging site). NOW, the same problem, the charger is really loose and not charging at all. Hear of quite a few people that had to replace enV's because of charging problems and have seen phones in far worse shape than my son's that still work well. Am very unhappy with phone and customer service. Don't want to spend another $50 for deductible, want to contact Verizon complaints????? comments???
my fone wont charge at all. when i put it in the wall charger nothing hapens so plz help me!
i have the exact same problem.. and when you wiggle it around, it helps at the beginning. now mine doesn't charge at all. My sister has an enV, also, and I have to put my battery in her phone and charge it, before I can get it in to my phone! Ugh!
Just stopped charging up. Plugs in and battery signal lighting up as is charging, but when I unplug it, still has only one bar of charge (after overnight charging!) Also, just turns itself off, for no reason.
i have the same problem as well. The wiggling of the cables did work for a day or so, now my phone won't even turn on. I hope that insurance covers this problem.
I'm having a problem with the connection from the charger and the phone. Now that I've read your reviews I think that this phone might have a connection problem and that the phone is defective.UGH
i have the same problem, they told me it was battery problem so i ordered new battery and it charged for little bit but then right back to the old way. it would go on and off with charging and when i unplugged it, it would die like 20 mins later, ive been looking it up on online and everyone that ive read had this problem said its phone so im just gonna go store and ask for replacement and get my money back from ordering new battery
we have 4 envy's in our house and 3 out of 4 the charger port fell out the one phone was fixed twice already. Does anyone know if there was a recall on this phone? We haven't even had them for a year.
We are having the same problem the power port is faulty. I am taking my daughters phone back a second time today. I bought the phone last Christmas so it is not even a year old. I took it back a few months ago and they gave us a new phone for free ( we have insurance), but she had to sit and put all her contacts back in manually, they couldn't save them - I don't know why!! They also put her old battery back in.
The charging plug has always been weird since it was new. When I asked if alot of people were having problems with it they said there wasn't a recall, but the new enV's have a different port, of course my daughter likes the old style better.

i have the same problem the charger port fell out after it wouldnt charge it would at first if i wiggled it. but now it wont at all.i think something is wrong with all enV's cause eveeryone is having the same problems. the charger doesnt seem to have something to click into to keep it secure and everyones charger ports are falling out.but i need help this phone is my life need it fixed. any help?
