I could not fully understand your description. Can you please ge tme an image so that I can see for myself what it looks like?

  • Anonymous Mar 04, 2010

Ok.. That was better. From what you have described it sounds like a t-con board fault. What is the status of the sound? Also did you try another input mode and see if the problem persists? For example if you have this problem on HDMI did you try Component or S-video inputs?

Ok. Let me know how things panned out so that we can continue with the diagnosis if required.

We have lost our remote and want to buy a new one. All the universal remotes we see do not list Proview

The universal remotes are never that great anyway. Even if you find a universal remote for the TV, 90% of the time you can't control the menu options and other settings. It's best to have the remote made for the TV.

I know a few good web sites for remotes at a good price.
Is your Tv model a PA-32JK1A ?
Here's two places for the PA-32JK1A remote:
http://www.remotes.com/store/proview/pa32jk1a.html

http://www.newremotecontrol.com/Mfrs/OtherBrands/Def/dyn_part_data.php?catnum=RAC06-PA32-0021-CM

If it's not the right TV model, let me know. I will try and find one for you.
