Re: When I turn on my LN32A450 TV it flashes to black...
This is probally a fix for a repairman. Probally a bad video card or power supply board. It is probally not going to be cost effective, You are probally best off buying a new one.
a_roarke, If unit not covered by Samsung warranty, you or qualified electronics technician will need to investigate down to component level and determine which part is causing this thermal intermittant problem. Could be just 1 lead of a passive or active component that needs to be resoldered on the units main AC line in to multi output DC power supply, which is called a "switch-mode-power-supply" If you visit YOUTUBE and watch the longer and more informative video clips of "LCD monitor disassembly" , "LCD TV disassembly" , "LCD monitor repair" , "LCD TV repair" you will at least get to see some typical repair work being performed by owners and technicians who have needed tools and parts to perform the repair work. Also examine main SMPS board for swollen electrolytic filter capacitors. Report back here and inform us of your course of action. 12fixlouie
