    in the manual it says you can turn your "power ic" option on and off if you have a speaker amplifier for better performance but i don't have one. i've tested all the speaker output connections with a test light and i don't get any kind of power rating out of any of the speakers.

    hey it's ok i figured it out. its the wiring to the speakers.. its causing the deck to not produce a signal to the speakers... so i've got new wiring for it.. it's an easy fix for me to do

    experiencing same problem out of the alpine cda 9855. the cd player says it is playing the disc and all functions on the cd player work but there is no music playing through the speakers. When i turn the vehicle key on the speakers make a pop noise so there has to be power going to them. i haven't blown any fuses (including the one in the back of the head unit). Any advise?

    I hooked up an Emerson Audio deck in my Honda Accord and the subwoofer plays but not the speakers. I know the speakers work and the wiring to them is correct because i  can use a different deck and they play. The deck was used in a friends toyota for a while and then sat. I know the deck is good. Could it just be the wiring harness?

I accidently put the rca wires in the wrong audio input/output on my craig cd graphics karaoke player.Could this be why i have no sound?

The RCA outs are designed to send a signal to an external amplifier. That amplifier, in turn, sends the music signal to speakers.
The RCA inputs are designed to take audio signals from another device (like an ipod, CD Player, or computer) and play it through the Craig System speakers. If you sing into the microphone, the vocals will be mixed with the incoming music. However, in these cases, there won't be lyrics on the screen. If you play a karaoke DVD in a DVD player, connect the red, white and yellow RCA cables from the DVD out to the Craig Inputs, the lyrics should appear on the Craig screen while the music plays.
If you mistakenly plug RCA cables into the Craig Inputs and plug the other end into an amplifier's inputs, neither will produce any sound.
Using RCA outs is only necessary if you want to have louder music than the on-board Craig speakers can handle. Of course, you can run the yellow video cable to a TV RCA input to get a bigger lyrics window and the RED and White RCA to the TV RCA Red and White inputs to hear the music through the TV's speakers.

I have my RCA music system it won't let me play music on it. What do I do?

Check the cd types that that system will play. Depending on the type of recorded material, some CDs won't play on certain systems.

Receiver won't play music from an MP3 device

Use your computer speaker as the sound device or use a headphones.

If it sounds good, it could just be your cable that goes to the receiver.

( using a Y cable to connect to one of the regular audio inputs.)

or have one like these:

3.5MM To Stereo Rca Cables: Electronics

My sound is not working when I play music and stuff, but when I run test, the sound works. The mixer shows that sound is playing but none comes out.

On a high end sound card there are DEVICE,WINDOW SOUND,CD,WAV and MP3 individual settings.
Right Click on the speaker icon (next to clock) and open mixer to max out individual levels.

======
Application like Youtube and Skype has there own settings.
======
Did you connect the CD to sound card cable?
Double check to make sure this cable is connected.

If your motherboard has built-in sound card then connect the cd to the motherboard CD_IN connector.

I recently moved and just got my outdoor speakers hooked up. When I turn on Zone 2, I get sound from my Ipod, but when I set Zone 2 to have music play from my satellite box, I get nothing. The music will...

If your satellite box is connected using a digital cable to the 601 receiver you won't get any sound through zone 2.Zone 2 can process only analogue sound ( inputs ).

Hi. Today I bought a 3 foot audio y-cable and an RCA (Phono) Female to RCA (Phoneo) Female cable so that I could hook up these two speakers that I have that belong to a predisian sound system (boom box)...

All you need to do is get a USB based sound adapter 16/32BIT MINIMUM to plug your speakers straight into your laptop with better sound. Many laptops will have limited sound OUTPUT which places large limitations on pushing sound through your nice speakers. You already know the problem is not the speakers or new cables, therefore you know that problem has been isolated to your laptop. You may also check the volume settings in the laptop to ensure your running the highest possible BIT or volume enhacement software. Let me know if this does the trick for you.

Play Ipod thru JVC CD car stereo using RCA cable?

JVC KD-S731R does not have the option of connecting an ipod. The RCA ports on the rear of the unit are a Line-Out. These RCA's only OUTPUT sound. Not an INPUT RCA that you require. The only other method of using an ipod with this stereo is to purchase an FM-Modulator to connect the ipod. Once purchased, you must connect the antenna wire coming from the vehicle to the module, then you must connect the antenna wire coming from the module to the stereo. The other wire will be connected to either a jack or a ipod specific plug depending on the type of modulator used.

Sound only coming from one side

you should have 3 leads going into you multi changer, two rca's and one bus lead. power up the unit and remove the first rca cable if the music goes off unplug the second rca and plug the first rca where the second was plugged in, if the music comes back on then the multiloader is working fine and you need to check the radio controller and its connections
