Factory reset without using a disk and ALT + F10 doesnt work

his MIGHT work:

1. Click "Start," "Turn Off Computer" and then "Restart", if it is on. If your computer is off, turn it on by pressing the power button above the keyboard.
2. Press the "F2" function key on your computer's keyboard to enter the BIOS utility.
3. Use the laptop's right arrow key to scroll to "Main." Confirm that the "D2D Recovery" is "Enabled." If the D2D option is "Disabled," scroll down to the option using the down arrow key. Press "Enter" to change the option to "Enabled."
4. Use the laptop's right arrow key to scroll to "Exit." The "Exit Saving Changes" option will be highlighted. Press "Enter" to save the settings and exit the BIOS utility. Your Acer Aspire will restart.
Reformatting the Acer Aspire
1. Press the "ALT" and "F10" keys together while your computer is restarting and the Acer logo is showing to enter the Acer Aspire's reformatting utility.
2. Follow the on-screen prompts. Your laptop's hard drive will reformat and the original applications will be reinstalled. Your computer will restart after the reformatting process is complete.

My Acer D250 netbook starts show a white screen the reboots it self, sometimes it not only shows white screen but also gray or it run colourful lines then it restart. When it restart it start working fine...

Suggest using Acer eRecovery Management to attempt problem resolution as follows...
1. begin with the D250 powered off ...
2. if present, remove any external monitor (unplug its VGA connector from D250 left side)
3. power on and immediately press F2 to enter the BIOS / setup utility
4. using the right cursor key, cursor over to the Main tab of the InsydeH20 Setup Utility
5. if D2D Recovery is not enabled, cursor down to it, press Enter key and enable in pop-up
6. save any changes by pressing F10 to save and exit, otherwise press Esc to just exit
7. press Alt and F10 together while the Acer logo is showing to get entry into eRecovery.
8. eRecovery entry is indicated by message at bottom of screen "Windows is loading files...".
9. if not successful, power off, wait a minute then power on again and immediately
10. press Alt and F10 at the same time - do this several times while Acer logo showing.
11. once in Acer eRecovery Management (V7.0.10) screen, just leave it there........
12. if after a day or so, the screen has not changed, the problem is likely NOT hardware.
13. on the other hand, if your screen problem occurs after awhile, then it is hardware.
14. if it is not hardware, then your Operating System is likely corrupt or has a virus.
15. If it is not a hardware problem, you can completely restore system to factory defaults.
16. board level hardware repairs best done by sending D250 to Acer's authorized shops.

Turn my acer aspire 3680 2022 on and get a screen that said we apologize for the inconvenience but windows did not start successfully. a recent hardware or solfware change might have caused this.then it...

It appears that the issue might be with some hardware malfunctions. It may happen due to hardware failure, BIOS mismatch or due to
static charge. Let us try the basic troubleshooting. Turn Off the
Computer, remove all the devices attached to the computer, the power
cable and battrey, now holdon the power button for 15 secs (make sure
adpater and battery are uplugged) it will drain out all the static
charge. Now, restart the computer and keep on tapping F2, you will enter
to BIOS setup utility, press F9 (click "Yes", if you are prompted) and
then press F10 (Click "Yes", if you are prompted), it will restart the
computer. If still it is not booting to normal mode, then we have to
perform a full system recovery & it is a distructive process as you will
loose all the datas on the computer. To do so, Turn Off the computer,
now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Alt" key &
keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e Alt+f10, it will open the recovery
console, select full factory restore and follow onscreen instruction.
NOTE: This will erase all the datas on the computer

I turn on the laptop but the start page does not come on,the page has aspire series on the screen and a blue background

Here is what you need to do. Check for any external device attached to the computer, if so, unplug all of them. Try restarting the computer. If still not booting, then as soon as you restart the computer keep on tapping F2 button, it will enter BIOS setup utility, Press F9 and then press F10 for confirmation press "Yes". Restart the computer. It should take care of the issue.

Acer asoire 3680

If you do not have disks from your original purchase, do this:

Click Start>All Programs and look for a Recovery folder or System Recovery folder. Select System Recovery and follow the prompts.

Or...Click Start>All Programs>Accessories> System Tools
See if there is a Recovery (not System Restore) selection available. If there is click it and follow the prompts.

Or...If there is no Recovery program on your computer, reboot it and watch the screen closely. There should be a line that says something like, "For Setup Press F2 For Recovery Press F11".

It can be any F key, but you only have a few seconds to select it. If you miss it, reboot and try it again.

Remember once you run the Recovery, you will have to reinstall all the updates for your operating system as well as any programs you had installed.
