I have an LG phone . I was boarding my flight back to auckland , I put my phone on Flight Mode and turned it off . I turned the phone back on as soon as the plane landed , and I entered my security pin , and then all of a sudden my sim is blocked . It shows an Emergency link on my phone but because my phone is still on Flight Mode their is No Signal .I have the sim pack to enter PUK code .But wouldn`t matter if I was to enter the PUK code .
Hi,it seems you mistakenly entered a wrong security pin which envded up locking your sim,but don't be bothered, its a simple problem that can only be solved by contacting your service provider to help you unlock your sim for free, although you will be asked some funny questions,so don't be alarmed

Check settings - general - flight mode. It should be set to "Ask on startup" or something similar. Turn the phone off and on again. The flight mode question only comes when you turn the phone back on.
in other sony-ericsson phone's the flight mode is only showed when it's turned on! in fact when u turn on u're phone it has 2 options( normal start or flight mode) but it may be disabled to show the flight mode option and u have to enable it first it's easy u'll find it in main option tab
are you saving the settings when choosing normal mode? rather than just exiting out when you have chosen the mode you want. as for the charging problem just go to a local corner shop or mobile retailer and get a new charger for it. this will probably help as sometimes the little pins inside the charging unit can become slightly bent.

between Phone or Flight mode. To bring back the prompt return to Settings - General - Flight mode and change the option back to Show at start-up.
Newer mobile phones have multiple profile settings one of which is flight mode. It is a mode in which mobile phone can be left on while inside a flying aircraft.
Customers have been prevented from using mobile phones in-flight because of the possible impact on aircraft avionics and the potential for interference with ground cell networks.
You cannot make phone calls or send SMS while in flight mode.
It is useful when you want to listen to music or play games while in an airplane.
i have purchased a sigmatel s90 dual sim phone but by mistake i entered flight mode. Please send me details in english to get back to the normal mode and if possible could you send me the details in english
the solution was that the flight mode turns off when the phone is turned off.. when yu turn the phone back on you have the option of selecting for flight mode or not.
You can Hard Reset the phone by either of two methods. Start/Settings/Clear Memory, or power on while holding both left and right softkeys down.
This resets and reloads the phone software system its ROM and you will lose any and all personal data and apps you put on it since receiving it. Back up all you can before hard resetting.
