    How do you clear the memory without turning the machine off?

    Keyboard won't work 1 and 2 blinking with 6 beeps as it is turned on. Replaced batteries, but still nothing.

Dickyo is correct. All lights flashing means batteries. Keyboards need to be shipped to a qualified service center to have the inner keysheet membrane replaced. What area do you live in?

That is an indication the AA batteries that store your margins and tabs have gone dead. Open the top cover and replace the batteries.

Lexmark 1000 freezes up light blink
All the lights blinking usually means the batterys are dead or incorctely installed. Leave the machine plugged in and turned on when changing them so memory is not lost.
