Hi I bought my Sony cyber shot DSC-S730 a year or so ago. Have had constant problems with shutter not opening which in the past has responded to turning camera on and off mulitple times. Now, New batteries, try to turn power on and nothing happens, access code lights but shutter won't open.

Tip: The max point reward for answering a question is 15.
You must verify how you set the flash: auto, on or off. Set it "on" and try it. If it not work so, it's out of service. In "auto" mode it's possible to not work sometimes because light sensor.

If you are running Windows XP or Vista in computer, hook USB cable between camera and computer, power up camera, Windows will recognize it and install required drivers automatically, click My Computer, Removable Disk, click folder and copy picture files and paste in some where in computer.
