I would love to know more about freezing fruit. It is so delicious and healthy, its a great substitute for candy when you have a sweet tooth.

Ice build up under vegetable and fruit bins

Pull the bins out. Just above them is a channel with a hole in the middle. Push a drinking straw in the hole to clear the drain. The water will drain away instead of dripping under the veg bins.

No not if they are organic. Much of the goodness lies just below or in the skin. Much non organic fruit and veg though is chemically sprayed so better to remove those.

The produe in the veg./fruit bins are freezing

Hello. On some refrigerators there are vent holes that allow colder air from the freezer compartment to be vented to certain areas in the fridge. Look and see if there are any vents like this on your fridge, If so you can control the amount of cold air entering by sliding the door open or closed on the vent. If there is a vent but the cover is broken or missing you can cover the hole to reduce the freezing air entering the fridge.

Bracket holding glass over fruit / veg compartment broke

http://www.partselect.com/Schematics/Maytag/54436.gif Maybe this diagram will help you. www.partselect.com I just replaced the Crisper Shelf Frame. I received it very quickly. I am now looking for some sort of support for the whole shelf, because it still seems to be sagging. I may have to invent something. If anyone out there has a solution, please post it.

Bottom vegetable/fruit drawer freezing fruit

to the left of the bottom drawer is a veg/meat slide switch.make sure it is all the way on veg.if it is on meat,it opens a small doorway to the freezer and lets the cold air in and will freeze the food in the bottom drawer.in some cases, you will need to remove the drawer and shelf and then take apart the doorway.ball up some putty and jam it it the hole to completely seal it off
