This is easy, Order a new xbox 360 fan off of ebay. Open up your console, and replace the parts. It's very simple, you just plug it into the motherboard.

Also, DON'T use an intercooler. There have been stories that say because it runs off of the Xbox360s power source it can lead to the RROD

Can i use a intercooler if my fanis no workin properly in my ps3

It is not recommended to simply rely on the intercooler fans. Since they are not cotrolled by the main board they do not adjust for correct operation. The intercooler fans are the to get fresh cooler air around your system and to help remove some of the heat generated.

Overheating even with intercooler

Take the intercooler off. It draws power from the console which inturn creates more heat. You need to put in a Whisper Tailsmoon fan. If you are getting the red rings, you will probably need it to be professionally reflow or put the x-clamp fix in as a DIY solution.

Please visit our eBay store at http://stores.ebay.com/Garons-Biz or from garonsbiz.com for all of your Xbox 360 and PS3 repair item needs.

My xbox 360 get's two red light's. what does that mean

This is caused by the Xbox overheating. You want to make sure that the console has plenty of room around it so that it can get the ventilation needed. Turn off your xbox and let it cooldown, make sure that it isn't around other sources of heat, and then restart it. Should fix the problem. If the problem continues you can get one of the intercoolers for the xbox which gives it a few extra fans on the back cooling it off. Hope that helps :)

2 red lights on 360

2 red lights means over heating....take it off the floor, stand it up as a tower and invest in a intercooler fan to plug into the back...otherwise search online for a $35 fix from a computer guy needing work.

I bought a NYKO intercooling fan and the plug from the xbox 360 elite will not go into the fan receptacle is there a specific intercooler for the elite?

Microsoft has two different power connections for the Xbox 360. I do not recommend the use of the Intercooler. Believe it or not, it actually prevents air from circulating and increases the temperature of the 360!
For cooling I always recommend the fan modification. I have written a free guide showing you how to do this, no soldering skills required!
Here is the guide.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

E74 over heating

Lay your xbox 360 on its side don't leave it standing up and don't use intercoolers it only blows dust into your console let it cool down for like an hour or two if that doesn't work don't put a towel over the 360 because if it gets too hot it may set your house on fire so take it back let the people who sold it to you try to fix it or use the warranty on it and get another one or fixed.

Flashing picture and controlers wont read

i hate to be the one to say but yes it could have. i had my FIRST 360 for 2 months before i had to exchange for a new one. hard drive problems. one i would suggest seeing if you could exchange it where you bought it at and then invest in an intercooler fan for the back of it. that is an inexpensive way to protect your investment from the heat that kills them.

Xbox 360 intercooler

I have 2 360's (1 core and 1 premium) and have the intercooler on the premium....after measuring the heat output it is reduced moderately. I would only recommend getting the intercooler if you are having heat issues with your 360 or it is in a small not well ventilated area. Hope this helps.
