I suppose your recovery disks could be bad. You can get another set from Toshiba. I'm also concerned about the health of the hard drive. Did you need to run recovery because the system crashed, because it may not have been an operating sysem crash but rather a hard drive crash. Have the harddrive or whole laptop checked by a reoutable repair person or check my website: www.micromendllc.com

My toshiba laptop displays an expected error occured. Error Code 0xc0000034 during booting window

This error code 0xc0000034 usually indicates a problem with the boot configuration data (BCD) file on your Toshiba laptop.
The BCD file stores boot configuration information and is required for Windows to start up. The most common cause of this error is a missing or corrupt BCD file.

You can try the following steps and can try to resolve this issue:

1. Boot into the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE)
2. Launch the Command Prompt.
3. Type the following command to rebuild the BCD file: "bootrec /rebuildbcd".
4. Press Enter and follow the on-screen instructions.

Note: If these mentioned steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to perform a repair install or a clean install of Windows.

first off, is that code, what I means.
the poster forgot to say they were doing RECOVERY.
and that is what fails. (or bought the PC used just now and last owner put it in to recovery stuck there,.... no history stated.
it fails for 2 reasons, (or more)
1: someone replaced the hdd before, killing recovery dead.
a new HDD/SSD means OS gone and recovery partition too.
2: upgraded the OS with out using Toshiba media.

if the HDD is bad now, there will be no 0 key recovery possible
the maker does not sell recovery media on any old PC.
most OEM only do this for 1st 3 years
no OS stated by you at all.

Toshiba Satellite L305-S5875; Recovery Error 10-fc12-045d HELP!!

no it is not fried. you just need to find a vista disk and use that instead of the recovery disks. Once you reinstall Vista you should be able to go online for the Toshiba drivers. Make sure you have the windows Vista Key which should be located under the laptop. the vista software install will ask for it.

Laptop freezes with startup, sometimes switches off during startu

PXE means Pre Boot Execution. It means that the system is trying to boot from network. To solve this, you need to enter bios. You can do this by pressing F2 during startup. Find the section where you can change boot device order and set the first boot device to HDD or CD. save your settings, hopefully your problem will be solved
