the easies way is to restore it to factory default (this will delete your music) Connect the iPod to your computer load iTunes Click on the ipod symbol in iTunes click restore
If you forgot your passcode for your Nano, then you will have to do a
restore on your Nano which you'll have to do via iTunes; which will
erase all data on your Nano, and restore all settings to factory
default. There is no other way to recover your passcode if you forgot it. Once you run a recovery via iTunes you can re-add your music, etc.
If you forgot the security code you will have to open up ITunes and hook up your Ipod to your computer. In the Ipod settings under Itunes select restore your Ipod to factory settings. This will erase the code feature. You will have to reload your songs and activate a new key code on your Ipod if needed,
