Webcam issues! when i open skype or oovoo or even quickplay, anything to do with my webcam it wont work! it says "error" "webcam not found" so how do i go into my settings to fix this problem? i searched a little in my control pannel but i couldnt find it! so what do i do? what if my mic wont work anymore either if the webcam gets fixed!? please help!!

if your mic is still proper working in your skype ?? there is no problem with your mic and cam.so you must reinstall the latest version of oovoo messenger. if u still have the same issue may be your cam and mic configuration of your oovoo messenger is wrong.thank u.

4) Install the downloaded ooVoo software on your computer. After installation, you will be prompted to create a user name and start inviting friends.

5) Find current friends on ooVoo and send them a contact request. Once the request is accepted, the contact is added to your contact list and you can contact that person through ooVoo.
6) Invite friends to join ooVoo through email. Once they join, they can be added to your contact list.
7) Start your first conversation by clicking the icon next to a contact in your contact list. You can choose to start a video call, audio call, or text chat. If the contact accepts, the call will start.
Please perform all the steps mentioned above.

I have the same issue and I would like to know how you can connect them and succeed.

First uninstall the drivers and then download the latest bios update for your notebook from hp.com and then restart the computer.... then install the latest updated drivers for webcam from hp.com and check this will surely work.
If not then check for quickplay driver update too.
Another thing open task manager and then go to processes and check wethere you can find the webcam running or not if yes then right click and end the task , also check for the programs that might use webcam like if you have installed yahoo or skype messenger end the program task too.

The only thing that i suggest is to uninstall the drivers of your webcam and reboot the laptop.
Install the latest drivers' of your laptop according to the operating system in your laptop and again reboot the laptop.

hello, regarding on your problem please check your driver installed in your laptop and see if the driver you install is compatible in your current operating system otherwise it will not recognized the webcam driver. Also please check the settings of your skype or ovoo .
