We have a Olevia TV and the blue light is on--when we puch the power button on the screen just comes up with the word Olevia and nothing else

Have tried everything we can think of but T V will not turn on

No sound or picture...the red power light is on, but TV won't turn on with the remote or the button on the set. I tried unplugging and plugging it back in, but it didn't work. For the last few weeks, it has usually taken a couple of tries to get it on, but now it won't come on at all.

Me too... power-up gives just the blank Olevia screen...

Set stopped working at 13 months....Factory willing to do a flat rate repair if I pay 100.00 plus shipping. Guarantee for 60 days.

One would think for a PAID repair, and the inconvenience of the failure, they could give a 2 year warranty on the entire product.

Magnavox impressed me with customer service on a monitor, by helpting me figure out the problem, and VOLUNTEERING that it was under warranty... I did not know it was when I called.

Olevia was lousy on the phone.....another case of a company cheazintg it up, to favor the big box stores profitability, at the public expense.

I posted photos and a description of my solution for this problem here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/geegee123/sets/72157607269121264/ There's another thread on FixYa dealing with this same issue that has a variety of solutions as well.

I had the same thing happen today. I plugged the USB port into my laptop. Then al of a sudden everything came back to life. I then reconnected the VGA and was able to use the monitor again. Very odd, but I'm glad it works (for now).

My lt23hvx power button does not work. I keep pressing the power button to turn on and it will not turn on

Hi,
If you're trying from the remote control, then try from the TV and see if it works. Or vice versa... Also, make sure the TV is plugged in (you would be really surprised to see how often this is a problem).
If there is no noise and no lights, then odds are your power supply is faulty. For that tv, you're looking at a replacement of less than $100.
Cheers, -SJ

I have 19" Olevia LCD TV and the red power light comes on when you plugged it in but the TV DOES NOT power on

You only have 5v standby voltage circuit working. The problem can be i nte main power supply or the main control board that send the signal to the main power supply to turn on. Those are the two place to look for.

Red lite comes on but tv will not power up.

Follow the solution for service port 'jump start' with a usb plug. Plug your cell phone charger in next to the TV. Touch the metal prongs of the service port with the metal part of the usb until you get a brief 'flash' on the TV. Then turn on the tv set. It takes patience and a flash light to do this, so you can see what your touching, as my husband couldn't get it to work, but I could.
