My playstation 2 is not loading any games the screen is just black but when i have no game in it, it goes to the memory card screen and it wont read my games it just constantly says loading

I put my act off road fury in there then it goes to the playstation 2 sign and then it goes black

the problem might be your cd drive. the lens may be broken. I suggest you go to a technician and convert your ps2 to harddrive. it loads games much faster and you wont need cd to play games.

Try starting the game without the memory card. If it starts up then you know that you have a bad memory card.

You know what, I think your game is scratched and that is why it wont play it. Or try cleaning the inside of your playstation (the part where the game goes in) ;)

if you buy a PS3 you can still play your PS2 games on there :)

The game might be copyied

You need to try to Update your PS3 from a memory card. Follow the directions on www.playstation.com to download the update using your regular PC and copy the update to a Memory card that has at least 120Mb of free space.

Go to www.playstation.com. Click on "Playstation 3", then click on "Playstation Network". Click on "System Update". Scroll to the bottom of that screen. Click on the next to last bullet called "Update using a PC" Follow the directions in detail.

Could be corrupted, try copying the second save on a different memory card, if that works, then it's your memory card, if it still goes black the file is corrupted.

You Might Have A Bad Memory Card. Also Try It on A diffrent System.
