Have you tried going to:

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

to download the latest version of iTunes?

You mentioned Safari, but you'll use iTunes to access the store. If you need the latest version of Safari, go to:

http://www.apple.com/safari/download/

Safari requires at least Mac OS X 10.4.11 (click Apple menu in top, left corner and "About this Mac" to determine your version). iTunes is similar, though it requires 10.5.x and a more powerful computer for some features.

If you don't have at least 10.4, I'd recommend upgrading to it or 10.5, depending on which Mac you have. 10.5 works best on at least PowerPC G5 machines (such as iMac G5) or Intel machines (such as Intel iMac or MacBooks).

Good luck, and please let us know if this worked for you.

Wont turn on completly

This means the device was reset to factory settings. You need to connect the device to iTunes. Go to a Mac or PC with iTunes, start iTunes and connect iPhone to the Mac/PC and follow on-screen directions. You will need to reestablish your iTunes account to the iPhone for apps and music (assuming you use iPhone for apps and music). If you have only download apps/music to iPhone and never performed a sync/backup to iTunes (really bad idea, BTW), I would suggest making an appointment at apple.com with the Genius bar at a local Apple store.

After installing ios7 tp ipad, cant access itunes or apps store

If you are having trouble accessing itunes and app store then it is possible that you have not updated your itunes to the latest version. Open itunes on your computer and check for updates then everything should start working again.

Why won't safari let me download realplayer

The ipad does not allow you down apps like you would on a desktop computer. The only apps you can run officially are the ones available on the app store that can be accessed on the ipad or in itunes through the itunes store tab. You should not that adobe flash is not available for the ipad as well.

Cant get old safari web page error code 36

As far as i am aware, this is a problem with previous versions of Safari. Try updating, using Software Update from the apple menu, and update to the latest version of Safari, and if possible, your whole system.
This should resolve the issue
Hope this helps

My iTouch4 is connected to wifi, but when i choose Safari, it says "Download failed- safari is unable to download web file"

Unfortunately unlike the PC/Mac version of safari you can not download things to the ipod touch as there is no desktop as such unless you go through itunes, app store or youtube.

Why itune cannot connect to the store

ResolutionClick on the description below that most closely matches your iTunes Store situation:

I have been unable to connect for less than 24 hours Try quitting iTunes and reopening it. If the issue persists, it's possible the store is temporarily unavailable for maintenance. Try again in a few hours. You might want to check the iTunes Store discussion board to see if a connection issue is impacting many other iTunes Store customers.

  • You upgraded to Windows XP Service Pack 2. Windows XP Service Pack 2, by default, enables the Windows Firewall. As with a third-party firewall, you will need to configure Windows Firewall to allow iTunes to access the iTunes Store. To do so:
    1. From the Start menu, choose Control Panel.
    2. If the Control Panel is in Classic View, skip to step 3, otherwise open Security Center.
    3. Open Windows Firewall.
    4. Click the Exceptions tab.
    5. Select the iTunes checkbox to enable it as shown here:
      1. ts1368_1.jpg
      2. Click OK.
If you have further questions about configuring the Windows Firewall, contact Microsoft's Service Pack 2 hotline at (888) SP2-HELP. Read this article for compatibility information.
    6. You switched to a new ISP. If you didn't install new networking hardware, your ISP may be blocking access to the iTunes Store. Let your ISP know about this article which can help your them configure their servers to allow iTunes Store traffic through.
    7. The "hosts" file may be blocking the iTunes Store Instructions for Windows 2000 and XP: Find your hosts file. The hosts file is normally found in the following locations:

      Windows XP: C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32DRIVERSETC
      Windows 2000: C:WINNTSYSTEM32DRIVERSETC

      1. Select the hosts file. Then click the Edit menu, and choose Copy.
      2. Then, click the Edit menu again, and choose Paste. There should now be a duplicate of the hosts file named "Copy of hosts".
      3. Drag the original hosts file to your desktop.
      4. Right-click the "Copy of hosts" file and choose Open. You may be prompted to choose the program you want to use to open this file. Double-click Notepad.
      5. When Notepad opens, click the Edit menu and choose Select All. Then click the Edit menu, and choose Delete.
      6. Click the File menu, and choose Save. Close Notepad.
      7. Right-click the "Copy of hosts" file, and choose Rename. Type "hosts" (without quotation marks) and press Enter.
      8. Restart your computer and try connecting to the iTunes Store.
      • Make sure that your computer meets the iTunes minimum system requirements.
      • Make sure that your operating system is up to date:
        • For Mac OS X, use Software Update to determine if you need to update your system.
        • For Windows, go to Microsoft's Windows Update webpage.
      • Make sure that you can access the Internet on your computer.
      • You may have firewall or other security software that is preventing your computer from connecting to the iTunes Store. Click here to find out which ports and servers need to be allowed for iTunes Store access.

Problem with internet connection

By "USB wireless internet" I assume you are referring to a communication card from a cellular telephone carrier.
I also assume that despite the fact that you have singled out Safari, in reality you will find cannot access the internet at all through this device, e.g., sending and receiving mail through Apple Mail, using iChat, using Software Update, etc. I say this because when Safari refuses to access the internet through a particular device, it's very rare that the problem turns out to be peculiar only to Safari. (To answer your original question, no, no special settings are needed.)
Many of these cellular internet cards come with "install me first" software for the Mac that is written badly and doesn't work on the most current versions of the Mac OS. Your first step (assuming you have another working route to the internet) is to visit your provider's website and download the current version of his Mac connection software (which will almost always NOT be the version you got in your product box). Install and run it exactly according to the instructions (they are often so fragile that any variation at all will break them), and then try again.

Safari cannot find the Internet plug-in. The page ?TV & Radio? has content of MIME type ?application/x-mplayer2?. Because you don?t have a plug-in installed for this MIME type, this content can?t be...

What i am assuming, is that you are running a mac. Safari tends to be part of the mac operating system. There is use to be safari for PC, but apple removed support for it, you can technically use the browser on PC, just the old unpatched one (highly not recommended).

1) Run a mac OS update, generally the update section is in the apple app store. See if there is any updates for Safari as well for the MAC OS, update and see if it resolves the issue.

2) More or less if the OS/Safari is slightly older, the app store will auto detect if your current MAC can be upgradable to the new OS with the missing plug in for safari, you can do this without losing any files as long as the power adapter is plugged in throughout the entire upgrade process.
