If I'm thinking correctly, there are buttons right side of the TV. Besides the power buttons on the front of the TV and the box, there is a Standby/ON button. Somewhat hidden, but it's there. The top button on the right should turn the whole thing ON.

As of the last 30 days or so the pioneer pdp 5070

I had the same thing happen...come to find out, the main board and power supply on these units seem to fail quite frequently...that's about a $1200 bill to repair!....mine's in the garage behind some shelfs...I purchased a new Samsung LCD after Pioneer wouldn't help, despite being only 2 months out of warranty...glad they're getting out of the plasma business so they can't "stiff" any more folks....
