The cd will not load into the computer, I tried on a computer at work and it loaded but not on my home computer.

Disc loading mechanism fault. disc do not load properly. a loose loading belt, or a faulty loading motor can cause this. Contact any service technician; as you have to take out the disc loading mechanism out from it. It is not a user repairable fault.

If they are USB then DO NOT PLUG IN until driver is loaded, most common fault.

Just Simple.. You can try System Restore in Vista.. Cause in Vista can't not read automatic like vista. if your dont have Nero Disk try restore in good Condition before Software Crash.. 

If the program does not automatically start from your cd drive, open windows explorer and find the CD drive. You might see an auto-start application file which you can try. If that doesn't work check the other files and files with the folders that show up on the CD for an installation/application file.

load 100% where? in system installation? if it hangs, you have probably bad cd, get new cd and you will be fine

You need to borrow a XP cd so that you can repair your installation

Your cd drive may be corrupt. Try downloading the cd drive software from your computers web site.

try loading other cds on the laptop or loading the roxio cd on another computer.
if the cds that you try to load dont work on the laptop then it is your laptop drive that does not work and should try to get that fixed.
if the roxio cd does not work on another computer then it is the roxio cd that doesnt work and you should get a free exchange from either the store you bought it from or the company that makes it

I can try and suggest you check the cables from you CD-ROM, any sort of damage the CD might have. Or then again, if your Hard Drive is SATA connected, then you'll need to load the SATA controler (F6 on the windows instalation) And, in last case, either upgrade your bios or try a different CD-ROM drive unit. But I would defenatly put my money on the cables.

clean the lens of your dvd if that does not work there is a strip connected to the lens have that replace or adjusted by a tech.good luck.
