Simple fix- Close fuel valve disconnect the fuel line below the shut off valve then open fuel valve and drain fuel out of tank into a safe device that will hold the amount that's in the tank. When done draining close valve reconnect fuel line and refill tank with fresh fuel. The oil in the gas won't hurt your engine it could fowl your spark plug if so just remove clean and re-gap.

What is fuel mixture on 25 cc craftsman weedwacker

This small engine needs a 40:1 ratio. Use only 2 cycle oil, not motor oil. If you are mixing one gallon of fuel use 3.2 ounces of the 2 cycle oil. This should give correct mixture so you do not get lots of smoke when you start. Take the time to measure. Note: there should be a marking somewhere on the engine about the mixture.

What is fuel mixture on a 25cc craftsman weedwacker

I always mix it 40:1 so that the piston will always be lubricated and after I finish cutting I empty the gas tank and then restart machine so as to keep the fuel filter clean.

My machine overload, what do i do.the cilinder gets oil and the sparkplug is wet

Marthadelafu:

Remove the spark plug and clean it with rubbing alcohol and let it dry or blow dry it. Look at the carburetor. You will see two small screws next to each other. Those are the fuel/air mixture screws. one controls fuel, the other controls air. First check the air filter to see if it is clogged with dirt and debris... if it is, wash it in a soap and hot water solution and let it dry. After it dries out, reinstall it. Then turn the air/fuel mixture screws in GENTLY all the way. Turn them out one and a quarter turns. Check your fuel/oil mixture to see if you have the correct ratio of oil to fuel (most machines run on a 40/1 ratio... 40 parts gas to 1 part oil in other words, 40 ounces of gas to 1 ounce of oil. If your fuel/air mixture screws are one and a quarter turns out, the fuel/oil mixture is correct and the air filter is clean, the motor should start. You will need to adjust the fuel/air mixture screws a little to get the saw running to your satisfaction.

Fuel hose to the gas tank has broken as well as the primer hose has broken

Check age of gas. Cannot be more than 30 days old. Make sure to use fresh gas w/synthetic 2-cycle oil @ 40:1 ratio (1 gal.) Gas to 3.2 oz. Oil). Do not use old or stale oil/gas mixture. Always use the proper oil/gas mix. If you do not, your engine will suffer rapid, permanent damage. May need to clean or replace carburetor, fuel lines, and fuel filter.

I have a 32cc Craftsman weedtrimmer that has been giving me problems. It only starts maybe every other time, and never seems to kick into high gear when squeezing the throttle. Sometimes it will stall...

Make sure you clean or replace the air filter as well. If you replace the fuel and clean/replace the air filter and it is still giving you problems, you may need to remove, disassemble and clean the carburetor. If this turns out to be the case, reply to my solution and I can help you out.

Stales out when u take the choke off must run with full choke on

You will need to take to a shop and have the technician adjust the carburetor. Plus I recommend mixing your fuel mixture at 40:1(3.2 oz 2 cycle oil to 1 gallon of gas) instead of the 50:1(2.6 oz 2 cycle oil to 1 gallon of gas). If your fuel mixture is over 30 days old, it is considered bad gas.
All the manufacturers I have heard from this year have made this knowledge known.
Good Day.

My guess is that one of your fuel lines has a crack or small hole in it. Inspect these and replace if needed. let me know how it goes.

Husqvarna 400 e series- I mixed the fuel 40-1 instead of 50-1

Hi
If you have good compression and spark at the spark plug try priming the engine(put some fuel mixture in the spark plug hole),set the carb adjustment(highh speed H=3/4 turn and lowspeed L=1 1/4 turn, turn the scews clockwise until the end and then set them.Try to start the engine. If it runs only the gas you puted inside the cilinder and then stops you have a fuel delivery problem to find and fix.First disassembly ,check and clean the carb. Then the fuel filter and the hoses.Let me know. best regards savumihai71
