How do I refill my HP 94 black ink jet cartridge? I bought a kit but have lost the instructions. When I peeled off the sticker I found five shallow 3 mm diameter holes that seem to have something spongy about 10 mm down.

left inside durring refilling that is why
professionals are using special machines
that refill in 0 air πρεσυρε using vaccum pump

look my advice is to NOT refill. This all too often makes the printer "Muck Up" and wrecks it. The cost you think you will save will be offset by repair costs and headaches. as much as it may gall all of us, buying the "original" cartridges. I know it sux huh. Especially for HP.

Nobody has a clue how to refill a laser cartridge with ink. :)))

OK< just kidding, here it is:

First of all, laser-cartridges have toner (a fine black powder) and not ink.
Second: There are 2 methods to refill a laser cartridge: dismounting it to get to the toner chamber (involves a lot of tehnical skill) or the melt-and-pour method (see here http://www.urefilltoner.co.uk/), but you need the melting device.

But because from your question i see you dont know a thing about refilling, better go to a refill center.

wrap the tip of a straight pin with a little cotton and stick in the hole do this for each hole with new cotton each time of course.

1. Put the cartridge on some paper towels in an area where you can tolerate a spill.
2. Peal off the top label.
3. Fill the syringe with 20ml. of black ink.
4. Very S-L-O-W-L-Y inject ink into any hole (they all go to the same sponge, HP just used the same color mold for the black ink cartridges).
5. When finished, replace the top label or leave it off (it will make no difference in the printing).
6. Replace the cartridge and run 1 - 3 cleaning cycles as per printer instructions.

For best results, leave cartridge in printer for 8 hours after refilling so the ink can saturate the entire sponge.
A Refill Kit should include Ink plus the following:
One 30cc Syringe
