This unit should still be covered under warranty. I would contact Numark for an RMA.

clean the laser lens

I would suggest this problem is caused by the Buffer PCB, filters the audio. Easy fix. Let me know if you need more info. [email protected]

Look at the optics assembly itself. I believe that Numark uses Sony optics. There should be a small label on the assembly that says KSS-213 or something similar. Please post the markings here and I should be able to locate a source.

First clean the laser lens

I may be a little late, but for this problem you might have pirate cds burned off your computer in which the HDCD1 will not be able to read, could be the format.

Cd drawer and laser assembly are belt driven. Belt needs to be replaced

What kinda CD are you trying to play? The CD Mix 1 does not play CD-RWs. Do both bays give you this error? Need some exact info.
