I have recently installed windows 7 on my acer aspire 6920. While upgrading, the previous software had to be removed and now the acer crystal eye software for picture taking cannot be found. The webcam works fine online with windows live etc. but i cannot find the software to use the camera offline. Before, it could be found on the start menu. Please help!!

you should back up your files first before downgrading or upgrading your system cause all data will lost after.....try to use recovery software or disk,to recover your files from that previous partition

Always get your drivers from the manufacturer of your Laptop, Notebook or Desktop.

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, usually one is able to download if available, by model number, All available Driver downloads as required.

If the driver is not available, perhaps your manufacturer does not support the OS you are installing.

This is the best way of ensuring up to date drivers for your system and they are free of charge!

Normally Windows7 do not need nay speacial drivers untill it asks for it. If you have Windows Vista driver, you can go ahead and install it. Windows7 should automatically recognize the driver. If you are still having any issues while using crystal webcam please let me know with the error code

Copy and paste it you should download it but it depends on the window 7 you upgraded too ( they have starter,Home Basic,premium and Ultimate) the link i gave you is basic ok?

uninstall your cam and install it again. if done thumbs me.

hi... pls look for the version of your crystal eye webcam that fits to your camera.... then uninstall the one you already installed and reinstall it... make sure that you will use the right CD driver of your camera... thank you very much...

hey, I had the same problem, I've got an Acer Aspire 6920 and I swapped out Vista that was on it for Windows XP

I went to the link you posted but it just goes to acer.com
so I figured I'd try something

if you go to acer aspire 6920 drivers, you can only pick Vista and Windows 7, and not Windows XP

instead, pick 6530 drivers (older acer) and pick the Bison driver:

Install it (with or without installing the previous Crystal eye, doesn't matter, and it will work properly

you need to download a video capturing device
if your system did not come with one
the built in webcam is exactly that for messaging programs and taking snaps but they can be used for video and this is usually something you need to get on your own

Update the drivers. The Crystal Eye is not the best camera out there. I have had to update mine 7 times and only owned it for 3 months
