Hello, we are having trouble with one of our phone lines, and it happens to be the line that our credit card machine dials out on. Is there a way to switch lines?

Your shop has optical phone lines? lol I never heard of such a thing and I used to work for MCI worldcom. All you need to do is call up Qwest or your local phone provider and have them put in a standard analogue phone or fax line. Here it would run you about 20 bucks if you dont get it as a business line. maybe 50 if you tell them it is for a business.
To solve last 4 digit issue. It need to reprogram Tranz 330. Not buying Printer this model is not compatible with PCI compliance. contact your processing company and let them reprogram this.
More than likely the password is your Merchant ID # if not more than likely is you would have to purchase a new one, mainly because most of the machines have been updated by frimware or baud rate which may prevent normal usage to credit card companies.
One if not too late. This terminal is out of compliance with running credit cards through. But if your merchant service provider is allowing you to continue then at the main screen just:
Hit 1 Then enter CC # and enter or function. Then EXP date of the card then function. Then Address and or ZIP of the billing for the cardholder then enter and it should process it VIA dial approval line.
All tranzs are designed to work on analog phone lines. It might work for a short time on digital or VOIP, but it can burn out your modem. There are no internet connections built for this terminal
Once you "Batch Out" or do a "Settlement" on your credit card terminal you have cleared any/all transaction info from the terminal and cannot print/reprint/void any of the transactions. Detailed reports can be acquired from your processor in most cases.
how do i enter my merchant id number on the verifone tranz 330
