Sounds like ur freezer is in alarm due to not being cold enough and wont allow the ice maker to distribute water to be frozen into ice u should have a fan behind the back panel inside the freezer make sure it is working and the coil underneath it is not frozen solid if the fan isnt working then check and make sure it has power if it does and the fans not running then replace the fan and this should get ur freezer working again but if the coil is frozen and the fan is running then u may have a bad defrost element that runs through the coil it is black u can test it by taking the wires off it and checking continuity thru it if it has continuity then its ok if not then it needs replacing
SOURCE: Ice Maker leaking water in freezer and won't stop making ice
The filter should be before the fridge and should not affect it it sounds like the water valve from the fridge is defective .Other possibility is the icemaker head is defective and needs changing.
SOURCE: Ice Maker on/off switch has blinking red light, will not produce ice. Manual no help
You have a better chance of finding out that the problem is a broken moduele. The fingers that grab the ice and rotate it out they should be resting at the 2 oclock posotion. If stuck in any other posotion its broken. It's expensive but not hard to do. If you had a bad soloniod you would either have a frozen tube or a block of ice at the top
SOURCE: fridge does not keep cold, but freezer is over freezing, icemaker not making ice also.
You should be able hear, and feel the air from, a running fan inside the cabinet, in either side. The common arrangement is having the coils located (behind the wall) in the freezer section and then the fan moves a controlled amount of the frigid air to the refrigerator section via openings located in the rear of the compartment. The vents are normally adjustable so the temperature can be balanced between the two compartments. If there is no noticeable air coming from this vent, then the fan has died.
SOURCE: the ice maker has stopped making ice. There does
check the module head, the power wheel often breaks loose and the drive motor no longer is engaged, replace the module head!!
