Question about Kyocera CS-2550 Black and White Copier

Scanning problems When i press the scan button on my copystar it gives me an error message saying "unable to use scanner" It doesn't tell me WHY i can't scan. I was able to scan before without a problem right to my PC. It has the option to send to all the PC's in my office. This is our network printer. Everyone can print to it, but now it won't scan to anyone. We recently had the office painted and the painters moved the printer around. I don't know if this would cause a problem, or if they disconnected something we needed. Is there suppose to be a port or hub connected in order for the scanner to work?? [email protected]

Reload your driver that came with the printer,be sure to go to properties and select shared.Although the print and scan functions use the same network cable they have diferent IP addresses and the driver software assighs the IP for scan funtion.

Kyocera CS-C2525 won't scan
Do you have the option installed on you copier??? Also, there is another ether connector for scanning. If it is installed it is right above the print PCB.

Every time I try to scan something, the scanner says "Cannot connect to PC". Someone else suggested I uninstall the scanner, restart my computer, and then re-install the scanner. I did this, and...

You have to associate that button, with a storage directory, you must set up the preferences, and tell the scanner where to save the scanned file.

I just installed a (new out of the box) HP LaserJet 3380 All-In-One printer/fax/scanner. I have NOT set up the fax function (no telephone line available). The unit is connected to my computer with a USB...
WHen you open the scan application and get to the point just before you scan... open at the top menu "File" and request to "Save As" and give it the "Name.BMP" see if that helps..
You named the folder but you did not mention naming the file you want to save????

Errors when scanning via all methods
You just didn't set up the scanner function, please reinstall the software and restart before you use the scanner.

Kyocera cs 1820 or copystar = error message = 3200
3200 is a problem with the exposure lamp. If you are in a dirty enviroment, the problem could be dirty mirrors under the scanner glass.

Pressing of scan button feature is no longer supported by hp drivers, if installed correctly one scans using scanners and fax


When the scan button is pressed on the printer, nothing happens. The scan button does not work correctly. Solution Scan documents using Windows Fax and Scanning or Paint. Scanning with Windows Fax and Scanning
  1. Click the Start (c00845897.gif ) icon.
  2. Click All Programs .
  3. Click Windows Fax and Scanning .
  4. Click New Scan .
  5. Click File and then click Scan .
Scanning with Paint
  1. Click Windows .
  2. Click All Programs .
  3. Click Accessories .
  4. Click Paint .
  5. Click File and then click From Scanner or Camera .
  6. Click Scan .
Cause The drivers in the Windows Vista operating system do not support button press functionality on the printer. link to above info from HP

?Scanner failure? error message
Usually this type of error message pops up when the scanner lamp isn?t warming up properly. This is what you should do: 1. Check if the lamp is on. 2. Unplug the scanner?s power supply and plug it back in. Try connecting it diretly to the wall. 3. If that doesn?t work: a. Unplug the unit?s power supply. b. Press ?cancel? and left arrow while reconnecting the unit. c. Release the buttons when the printer starts up. 4. Try scanning again. 5. If it doesn?t work, have it serviced.
