The Aero feature is not working

I have ASUS K8S-MX Motherboard wit AMD 64 bit 1.80 GHz wit 512Ram.I have installed Win 7 last week.The Aero feature is not working on my system.i tried to update the drivers but wen i troubleshoot for AERO theme it give me this error-(The current video card may support Aero with a driver that is compliant with the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM). Contact the manufacturer of your computer or video card for a WDDM-compatible driver.)
plz plz tell me wat should i do

In order to display Aero Glass, your computer must meet the following
requirements:

a.. DirectX 9 video card
b.. Pixel shader 2.0 support
c.. AGP 4x or better or PCI Express video cards are recommended, although
some others may work
d.. At least 64 MB of video memory, more may be needed for higher
resolutions or multiple monitors
e.. A special WDDM video driver

OR

Any Nvidia card 6000 series and above will do Aero great.

Audio driver for win 7 does't exist for this board. I suggest you buy new PCI sound card with software which supports win 7. Install it to PCI slot.

May be through a switch, or pressing Fn + F2 to enable it

1st thing you'll need to do is go to the motherboard manufacturer's website & download the new BIOS file & the flashing program. These 2 files will have to be copied to a bootable floppy, then you'll have to boot off it & do the update from DOS. The motherboard website should have a detailed explanation on how to perform a flash...print out the instructions & follow them exactly & you should have no problem

Can windows 7 be installed on asus k8v-mx mb with amd sempron 2.4 1gb ddr1ram
this is the minimum spec for Windows 7:

  • Processor: 1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor
  • Memory: 1 GB of system memory
  • Hard drive: 16 GB of available disk space
  • Video card: Support for DirectX 9 graphics with 128MB memory (in order to enable Aero theme)
  • Drive: DVD-R/W drive
  • Internet connection (to download the Beta and get updates)
Its not the motherboard, its the processor speed, RAM size, and hard drive space, and video card capability that counts.Your processor speed well meets this criteria and also your RAM size is within spec for Windows 7, and im sure you will have in excess of 16GiG hard drive space. So its all down to your video card. You may need to install DirectX 9.Hope this helps :)

Asus k8s mx mother board problem
To get rid of this message at boot you must turn off the Chassis Intrusion detector feature. To do this you must restart the computer, as it boots press DEL to enter BIOS.
Under the SECURITY tab in BIOS select CHASSIS INTRUSION and select DISABLE.
Then select EXIT and SAVE CHANGES and OK to reboot the system.

DDR2 with ASUS A8V-MX motherboard
This motherboard supports AMD 939 pin Athlon 64 FX/ Athlon 64 processors with 1MB, 512 KB L2 cache which is based on 64 bit architecture. It features 1600 MT/s HyperTransport Bus, dual-channel unbuffered DDR400 memory support and AMD cooling Technology. So you should be able to use the RAM as long as it falls into the above specs.
