My trascend mp3 is not playing.if i switch on the mp3 it is showing free byte: as blank but once i switch off the mp3 and put in computer i can see all the folders..

with trascend mp3 player you also had one recovery tool cd . By using this cd you can solve the problem .the firmware updation was completed by using this cd.....
I would just update the firmware and start over from scratch.
The "Plays for Sure" system only recognizes protected WMA's. The other mode will not allow you to play music period. I've never heard of anyone having that problem with that particular player, but if what you are saying is true, then you will be forced to use only protected WMA files - which means you can never let your Rhapsody or other music service subscription expire. And if there is ever a problem, you will have to delete all and reload.
As an experiemnt load at least one Mp3 format file into the player, and see if it plays fine. If yes, then only use Mp3 files from here on out. They are less problematic.
Plug the device into the computer open the device port that it's pluged into and delete everything that you downloaded onto it and then retry to download the supported format that the device supports.
